Alpha-H \ New In

Alpha-H is an Australian skin care brand - one of the most important things I am currently looking for in a brand is how sustainable they are and Alpha-H seems to tick all of the boxes. Almost 40% of their tubes and bottles are made from recycled material and the bottles themselves are recycleable. Their products are not tested on animals and they are paraben, silicone and SLS free. I have been especially happy with two of their products that I have been using over the last two months! Alpha-H Triple Action Cleanser with Thyme - 200ml / £25 This cleanser contains soothing Cucumber, hydrating Aloe Vera and the powerful natural anti-bacterial agent, Thyme. It is suitable for all skin types: normal, oily, combination and problematic. Why I like it It's gentle and safe to use over the delicate eye area. I had to be very careful with my previous cleanser, as it made the skin around the eye so rough and dry. With Alpha-H I can wash my whole face. I have slowly started t...

New in // skin care and make up

I've been looking for a face serum and body oil, as it has been a while since I bought any skin care or make up products. My mum has been ordering from Dermoshop for years and recommended a few of their products, so I put together an order. Dermosil Nature Body Oil - 100ml (RRP € 10.90 ) This body oil was recommended to me by mum. She has tried almost every product from Dermoshop and swears by this body oil. I am not too keen on big scents but this has a light natural citrus scent which I like. It contains sunflower, jojoba, avocado, blackcurrant seed oils and rosemary leaf extract. All of these ingredients are from a natural origin and are organic which makes this body oil even more loveable. Dermosil Faces Skin Balancing Serum - 30ml (RRP € 13.50) This serum is best for oily or combination skin as it keeps the skin fresh and gives it a matte finish. I have used this a few times now and it's very nice on the face, it absorbs quickly and it doesn't leave the...

SkinPep // New in

My fourth purchase from Skinpep has arrived (I am in love with their skin care) and this time I was interested in two new products - Titanium Micro Indentation (540) Roller and Super C15 Serum . I've never used any collagen treatments before! Titanium Micro Indentation (540) Roller (£19.99) is a treatment for fighting fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, acne scarring and hyper-pigmentation. This roller stimulates collagen and elastin production in the skin without damaging it. I have been using this roller once or twice a week on my face and neck after my evening shower, although it can be used almost every day depending on your skin tolerance. The biggest problem with my skin is red marks and little scars. After rolling, my skin is sensitive and is a bit red but this soon disappears. Every time I have used this, I have noticed an immediate change - my skin is evenly toned , smooth and my complexion has improved significantly. Super C15 Serum (£49.99 for 30ml) is...

Dermoshop // December order

I have been ordering from Dermoshop since 2010 and I don't know why I've never blogged about them before. Dermoshop is a Finnish company, selling a wide range of beauty products from skincare to make-up. I usually place orders with my mum who will forward them on to me. They do UK delivery but I prefer that mum sends them on to me, as she'll also send me some Estonian food at the same time. Recently I received a few products I ordered so I thought I'd share them with you.  Dermosil Sea Buckthorn Shower Cream, €5.90 I am a big fan of sea buckthorn beauty products and when I saw this shower cream in Dermoshop I couldn't resist buying it. This 250ml shower cream comes in a beautiful orange bottle containing sea buckthorn seed oil, berry extracts and glycerin. It has a very luxurious feel and cleanses skin gently, leaving it soft and supple. It also contains avocado oil which provides additional moisture to the skin. This shower cream has a strong but still ve...

JOIK haul // Estonian skin care

The first time I heard about JOIK was a couple of years ago when I came across their web site while researching natural Estonian skin care products. I love organic beauty products and I ' ve tried different Estonian skin care products in the past so and thought to try out JOIK. Sadly, I haven't seen any shops here in the UK selling Estonian skin care products or JOIK in particular. I found a beauty shop online called Love Lula which offer s natural skin care products from so many different brands - JOIK is one of them.  Firstly I have to say that I am very pleased with Love Lula . T heir web site is really easy to navigate and my order was with me in just two days. The only thing I could pick on was that one lid was loose and the product was leaking. Luckily it was the mask powder so there wasn't much damage.  I ordered 4 products and 3 of them are quite new to me. Radiance improving cranberry and blackcurrant facial mask for dull and lifeless skin - £11 I ...

Empties

I can't remember ever having done an empties post before. If I have, it must have been a very long time ago. Here are my recently used up products: Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Grunge Glamour Tousled Salt Spray - £6  I think I received this spray in a beauty box a couple of months ago and since then I've been using it every single morning. This salt spray gives my hair such a lovely voluminous texture without leaving it sticky or heavy. This big bottle lasted me about two months with daily use. I will definitely get some more! Tend Skin The Skin Care Solution For Unsightly Razor Bumps, Ingrown Hair And Razor Burns - £12 I bought this solution from Amazon a year ago as I was experiencing sore, red skin every time I shaved my legs. I read so many good reviews and thought I'd try it out. I have to admit, it really does work! It reduces the appearance of red razor bumps within hours and leaves skin soft and smooth. It also prevents ingrown hairs. This product is truly...

My Lip balm Collection

1. Lollipops Lip Balm Delicieuse is the newest lip balm in my collection. Lollipops is an affordable French make up brand which I'm very familiar with, as I already own some of their products. This lip balm is very rich and creamy, it immediately soothes and softens my lips. It contains antioxidants and vitamin E and contains UV protection - perfect for summer! 2. The Organic Pharmacy Antioxidant Lip Balm is very similar to Lollipops lip balms but for me it feels even more rich and creamy. This lip balm contains Shea Butter, Pomegranate, Rose Hip and Vitamin E and keeps my lips so hydrated.  3. Soothing Lavender Multi Purpose Pocket Balm by The Bakewell Soap Company is a handmade soothing hydration for lips, hands, nails and body. I always keep this pocket balm with me (on my work desk, handbag) as it's essential for dry lips and hands. It is a miracle, only a little goes a long way! It is very sticky on hands but on lips it is absolutely fine! Contains Walnut, Almond...

h2o+ face Oasis - Daily Hydration System Set

I first heard about h2o+ skin care products last year when I recieved a tiny Hydrating Treatment sample in a Glossybox ( November) . I started using the product immediately and it made my greasy skin more balanced and healthy feeling. After trying it out, I decided to buy a full size product and while searching came across a h2o+ three step Daily Hydration System . I ordered it from Amazon as the brand is originally from the US and I wasn't sure if they had a shop in Manchester. The set included a Face Oasis Dual-Action Exfoliating Cleanser (30ml), a Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment (50ml) and an Eye Oasis Moisture Replenishing Treatment (7ml) - worth £40 altogether.  This is an oil-free collection which has been formulated to cleanse and hydrate normal to oily skin. I have combination skin - an oily T zone but the rest of my face is quite dry.  Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment is an oil-free moisture gel which delivers deep hydration and contains vitamins A, C...

New in - Kaeso

A few months ago I bought myself two products from a beauty range called Kaeso . I desperately needed a new face mask so I bought a Rebalancing Willow Bark & Witch Hazel Face Mask and I also bought Cuticle Oil as a little extra experiment. I thoroughly researched their products to make sure I knew exactly what I was going to put on my face before buying. I couldn't find many reviews on this brand but the ones I did manage to find were positive!   Kaeso is a salon beauty range covering beauty, body, manicure, pedicure and aromatherapy. Kaeso delivers effective and luxurious professional products at a great price. Their unique formulations are made with the finest, natural ingredients to assure the highest quality skin care. Kaeso also meets a criteria where all products must be free from Parabens, Sulphates, Propylene Glycol and Mineral Oil. Kaeso Rebalancing Willow Bark & Witch Hazel Face Mask (95ml) is most suitable for oily/combination skin. It is a perfect tr...

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

I've used Elizabeth Arden skin care and make-up products before, so I was really happy when Tristan got me this beautiful Eight Hour Cream gift set for Christmas. I have been using them since and it has been such a big help in the cold and windy Manchester weather. After looking up a bit of history behind Elizabeth Arden I was surprised to find out that Eight Hour Cream was first created in 1930. This award winning cream has been around for so many years, helping people with skin dryness and flaking.  It soothes the skin, provides relief for chapped lips, smoothes rough patches on knees, feet and elbows and softens tough hard cuticles. It is a fast absorbing hydrating cream which lavishes the entire body, saturates deeply and moisturises intensely while leaving skin luxuriously soft and smooth for eight beautiful hours. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant - 50ml Hydrates and moisturises the skin Contains vitamin E - restores and calms the skin Can be ...
