Goodbye, summer!

I feel like s ummer has gone by too quickly - I am really sad to say goodbye to these beautiful long days and start getting used to gray weather again!  I ' ve had a couple of heal th problems recently (nothing serious! ) so I hav e been a bit lazy and h aven't been up to much . I also got a co ld last month which lasted about two weeks , so it was another few days until I started to feel better. I am not ill very often , so when it happens it takes a while to recover! Summer hasn't been very exciting this year , I would say pretty typical English weather. Not that I am complaining - I think it has been less rainy than usual but the temperature has just been very low. Most of the time I was wearing long trousers and a light jacket, so th ese couple of pictures will pretty much cover my whole summer outfit.  So h ere I am , wearing a Primark top and cardigan, Tommy Hilfiger smart trousers and Ella Cruz espadrilles. This backpack is from Matt &...

OOTD // Black and white

I ' ve always enjoyed wearing very bright colours but have discovered that they are no longer my style , so I've recently had a big clear out . Most of what I have planned to donate ar e colourful tops, skirts and dresses. I did keep one of my flowery dresses though as it has a very sentimental value for me and I just couldn't give it away. Even though we're halfway through June, I like wearing subtle , monochrome tones. Black and white are just such a perfect match and are easily worn when it's sunny outside.  I am wear ing an H &M crop top, a maxi skirt I bought in Italy, Primark black pum ps and a leather satchel.

New job + my top 5 office oufits

It feels like it has been so much longer than a month since I last blogged. At the beginning of the year, I promised myself that I would post more frequently over summer (because you have to use all of that amazing sunlight for pictures!) and I feel like I haven't kept my word. I have been really busy for the last couple of months and the main reason behind has been because I got a new job! Yay, finally! I have been looking for a new job since February this year and after sending out so, so many CVs, I finally started a new job in August. It is an administrative job in a textile company, which is absolutely perfect as you all know by now how much I love fashion. I have been interested in fashion since I was very young but I never thought of working in that environment. Fashion has been more like a hobby to me but for the past two years I've been thinking that maybe this is what I really want to do in life. I would love to think that this job is a good way to get my foot in...

OOTD - Casual Saturday

I like to wear super comfy outfits most of the time. A hoodie, sweatpants and Toms are my best friends when it has been raining outside.  I bought my black and maroon jacket from the eBay Asos outlet for £15 (RRP £40). It looks good with everthing - sporty clothes, casual clothes or even with a dress! My hoodie is from Primark and my sweatpants are from Promod. Each time I go to Debenhams, I can never miss their little Promod section. There's never too much to choose from but every now and then I find some really nice clothes.  This outfit was dressed up a bit with some make up. I don't usually wear anything on my face on Sundays but I made an exception this time.

OOTD - Alice in Wonderland

Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was first published in 1865, so I am celebrating the 150th anniversary of its publication today with this cute crop top inspired by it. I am such a big fan of the book and I think I have seen almost all of the movies - I even have a copy of the book on my iPhone. Maybe it's time to read the sequels too? The top was ordered from Choies and even though it took quite a long time, I was really happy when it finally arrived. It is lightweight, flowy, colourful and perfect for summer. I paired the top with my black maxi skirt and brown flats. The whole look is a bit bohemian - I can't remember the last time I looked like this!

Captain Cat / OOTD

Earlier in the month I went to Primark and picked up a few bits and pieces. I'll usually visit Primark when I'm short on t-shirts or tops and want to add something new to my wardrobe. I paired my grey captain cat t-shirt below (Primark - £4) with black jeans and a black leather sleeved jacket I bought in a sale last year at H&M. This jacket is perfect for spring and summer, the arms are very snug so it's best worn with lighter clothes underneath.

Minimal World / OOTD

I've been keeping a bit of a low profile on my blog recently. I am still posting but lately I've been lacking the motivation to do things. Job hunting has been taking up most of my time and I've also been trying to keep up with my Russian studies. I've struggled to keep up my healthy lifestyle too. I feel like I never have enough free time! Luckily I have a break coming up soon - Tristan, his two friends and I are going on holiday in two weeks to Rome. I'm really excited about it, as visiting Italy has been a secret dream of mine since high school. I had art classes every week and I studied so much on the history and architecture of Rome that it made me feel like I was actually living there. If anyone has any tips or amazing places they want to share with me, let me know in the comments!  I'm going to start May with an outfit post - they are my favourite. I am wearing a Vero Moda light jacket (bought in Estonia years ago), a top from H&M, Zar...

OOTD - The sun has come out!

It has been such a long time since my last fashion post, I've been missing them so much! The second the sun came out, Tristan and I went to the canal and took a few pictures. I think it is still too early for sunglasses but a light jacket is okay when you wear a jumper underneath (Primark) and a cosy leopard print scarf (Linea Cashmink) around your neck.  My black Veromoda jacket and shoes are both from Best Secret. You'll all know by now how much I've been raving about it. I think it is an amazing place for online shopping. I love the copper detailing and the simple look on my jacket, plus it's super lightweight. My trainers are by Puma & Alexander McQueen (click here to read my previous post). I also just noticed that I don't have any good shots of my Michael Kors bag, which I absolutely adore by the way! I'm sure everybody knows how beautiful these bags are so I think this will do for now. The bag and scarf were both Christmas presents fr...
