Edinburgh // vol1

I'm a bit late with this post but I wanted to share with you the trip Tristan organised for my birthday. He surprised me and booked a weekend away in Edinburgh. I have visited Edinburgh before but only there for a few hours, so I have always wanted to go back and discover the city a bit more. We stayed in the Apex Waterloo Place Hotel which is very central and basically next to Calton Hill. We stayed in a lovely rooftop room and with a nice city view from the window - we could see Edinburgh Castle! Calton Hill was our first spot to visit. It has an amazing view all around the city and of Arthur's seat, so it is worth going for the beautiful pictures. There are many interesting historical buildings and monuments but as it's a hill be prepared for wind and rain! Goodbye, summer!

I feel like s ummer has gone by too quickly - I am really sad to say goodbye to these beautiful long days and start getting used to gray weather again!  I ' ve had a couple of heal th problems recently (nothing serious! ) so I hav e been a bit lazy and h aven't been up to much . I also got a co ld last month which lasted about two weeks , so it was another few days until I started to feel better. I am not ill very often , so when it happens it takes a while to recover! Summer hasn't been very exciting this year , I would say pretty typical English weather. Not that I am complaining - I think it has been less rainy than usual but the temperature has just been very low. Most of the time I was wearing long trousers and a light jacket, so th ese couple of pictures will pretty much cover my whole summer outfit.  So h ere I am , wearing a Primark top and cardigan, Tommy Hilfiger smart trousers and Ella Cruz espadrilles. This backpack is from Matt &

£5 Clothing Sample Sale

A while back, a friend of mine shared a ' Clothing Sample Sale' event o n Facebook and it immediately caught my eye. I ' m all about bargains and as the event stated that there will be new, in-season stock I just had to check it out. I've now been to the event twice - in May and June. It is held the last Sunday of each month at a storage place. They are selling clothes from all brands - mostly brands sold at ASOS, Urban Outfitters, Topshop and Marks & Spencers. The best part is that everything costs £5, regardless of what the item is - jeans, jackets, coats, cardigans, tops ... it really is a shopping paradise! I am such a fashionista so if there is even the tiniest chance that I can get my hands on something before it hits the shops, then I am all in!   A lot of clothes being sold are h u ng up but there is also a big, long table in the middle of the room piled with stuff. I actually prefer the table - it is fun and much more exciting to dig a

Tassikoogid // Estonia

I was on holiday in Estonia towards the end of May this year and tried to visit as many places as I could for the short time I was there . I found out a new cafe had opened in Tartu so I decided to check it out! The cafe is called Tassikoogid which means 'cupcake s' in English and is located a short distance from the city centre which makes it even more worth a visit. The cafe itself looks like a house from the outside and has a vintage feel to it . All of their cupcakes are handmade and prepared on site . I took my mum and dad out with me for a sweet lunch. There were quite a few options to choose from but we decided to go for cherry and chocolate cupcakes . They tasted very light and fluffy, even though the icing was very buttery. I recommend a visit - especially if you are craving a cup of coffee or tea w ith a cheeky cake .

Banana and spinach smoothie // recipe

I love having a quick and easy smoothie for breakfast , lunch or whenever I feel like snacking . Most of the time I use frozen berries but for somet hing di ff erent every now and then I 'll use spinach - I like the mild flavour it gives. I use one or two bananas to sweeten it up a bit and sometimes some fresh raspberries, too. I will usually use coconut water and a little bit of tap water to make it less thick .  My blender is about 500ml so I get two small bottles from it.  Ingredients I use for a spinach smoothie: T wo handfuls of s pinach 1 large banana A h andful of raspberries 200ml coconut water 200ml tap water

OOTD // Black and white

I ' ve always enjoyed wearing very bright colours but have discovered that they are no longer my style , so I've recently had a big clear out . Most of what I have planned to donate ar e colourful tops, skirts and dresses. I did keep one of my flowery dresses though as it has a very sentimental value for me and I just couldn't give it away. Even though we're halfway through June, I like wearing subtle , monochrome tones. Black and white are just such a perfect match and are easily worn when it's sunny outside.  I am wear ing an H &M crop top, a maxi skirt I bought in Italy, Primark black pum ps and a leather satchel.

Bloggers Swap

I spotted a post on an Estonian blog group I follow where bloggers came up with the idea of exchanging packages with each other . I love making presents, so I posted my messa ge and got a reply from Häly at Smaylest . We agreed on 5 different categories: food, beauty, accessories, homeware and book/movi e /music. When I opened the box, I was really happy to see this white wire fruit bowl - my previous bowl was looking very worn out and I was alread y thinking of replac ing it . I always have some fruit in the kitchen, so this is super useful! I am a big fan of JOIK as well as coconut, so this body lotion is exactly my kind of thing. I ' ve used JOIK body lotions in the past and found they are all very light which is perfect for the season. L uckily, I haven't had the chance to read this one yet . I haven't seen the movie either!    I don't wear much silver and sadly I am allergic to nickel, so the se ea rrings will need to be test
