Tartu, Estonia // Travelling

In September, Tristan and I visited Estonia and this time we got to do a bit of travelling. We visited Tallinn, Tartu, Viljandi and my hometown Valga (where we spent most of our time). I thought I'd share some of the pictures we took in Tartu, where we spent a day with my mum and brother. I know the city quite well; I lived in Tartu for 3 years when I was attending university. While I was living there I didn't really appreciate its history and architecture. It is a nice, quiet place and there is so much to see! Tartu seems to have the tiniest 'old town' in the world! There is a little square with a city hall and a fountain in the middle. The sculpture standing there is called 'The Kissing Students' and is one of the most recognised symbols of Tartu. Just a few minutes away is the University of Tartu. As the town is so small, the white university building looks very impressive and stands out! This university is one of the oldest in Europe an

Empties

I can't remember ever having done an empties post before. If I have, it must have been a very long time ago. Here are my recently used up products: Umberto Giannini Glam Hair Grunge Glamour Tousled Salt Spray - £6  I think I received this spray in a beauty box a couple of months ago and since then I've been using it every single morning. This salt spray gives my hair such a lovely voluminous texture without leaving it sticky or heavy. This big bottle lasted me about two months with daily use. I will definitely get some more! Tend Skin The Skin Care Solution For Unsightly Razor Bumps, Ingrown Hair And Razor Burns - £12 I bought this solution from Amazon a year ago as I was experiencing sore, red skin every time I shaved my legs. I read so many good reviews and thought I'd try it out. I have to admit, it really does work! It reduces the appearance of red razor bumps within hours and leaves skin soft and smooth. It also prevents ingrown hairs. This product is truly

Peanut butter cookies

I've stopped buying cookies, cakes and pastries from the shop since starting my healthier lifestyle, so when I've been getting sugar cravings I have had to make something myself to fit my diet. I thought I would step over the line for once and make some peanut butter cookies with ''real flour and white sugar''. They came out amazing - very crunchy and crumbly! Tristan liked them too! Ingredients:   1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature 1/2 cup granulated sugar 3/4 cup light brown sugar 2 large eggs, room temperature 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 cup creamy peanut butter 3 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/3 cup granulated sugar for rolling (optional) Directions:  Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Line a baking tray with paper. Cream the softened butter and both sugars together until smooth.  Add the eggs, vanilla and peanut butter and mix until combined. Sift in the flour, baking powder and salt until

'I Love Autumn'' Wish List

Sofa Cushion Pillow Case / Autumn Leaf Cushion Cover / Yankee Candle / Autumn Owl Trio Oven Glove / Folklore Four Seasons Bowl Set / Knitted Fluffy Boot Slippers / Laurel Burch Shoulder Tote / Autumnal Orange Hanging Fabric Fox Christmas Tree Decorations / Apple Roses / I am obsessed with decorating our flat at the moment and even though I've already bought a couple of new cushion cases, I've fallen in love with these autumn-themed ones. Yellow, orange and gold colours really look beautiful at this time of year. I also start burning candles more often when it gets a bit darker outside, so a couple of new Yankee candles are definitely something I need to pick up soon.  Folklore Four Seasons Bowls and an Owl Oven Glove would be such a lovely addition to my kitchen! I recently discovered Folklore kitchenware and I am a huge fan. The Hanging Fabric Fox decorations are advertised more as Christmas Tree decorations but I think they would look super cute anywhere around t

Savoy Boutique Hotel // Review

For the 5 years I've been living in England, I've never been able to book a holiday in Estonia for my birthday. This year I finally did it! Tristan and I booked our holidays early to fall exactly on my birthday. We were also going to be there for my mums birthday, which wasn't too difficult to arrange - my birthday is on the 1st of September and my mums is on the 5th. We arrived on Saturday evening and spent the night in Tallinn before travelling to my hometown. Tristan had booked a room at the five star Savoy Boutique Hotel as an early birthday present. The Savoy Boutique is located in the old town, which is in the heart of Tallinn. After checking in, we found out that our room had been upgraded to a suite, which was a really nice surprise. I can't even describe how I felt when I stepped into the room, as it wasn't like anything I imagined.   I would highly recommend staying at the Savoy Boutique if you're ever in

Photo Blogging Challenge: Happy

I didn't take part in the Photo Blogging Challenge in August which had the theme 'Rule of Thirds' as I didn't quite understand the concept. I've decided that I will push myself a bit more next time, as otherwise there's no challenge! September's theme though was 'Happy' . In September, Tristan and I visited Estonia. He booked a stay in a 5 star hotel for my birthday - I couldn't resist taking a mirror selfie .   I love when they put little flowers on your plate at restaurants.   My Dad got me my favourite flowers for my birthday. Yellow is my favourite colour.  Marianne took me out in Manchester to have my first ever British afternoon tea . This guy here makes me the happiest girl in the world!
