Sydney

After almost an entire 24 hours of flying, Tristan and I have finally arrived in Australia. The flight was so long and tiring, I was uncomfortable the entire time I was on the plane. I couldn't get sleep, my legs were tired and sore and the plane food was not amazing. One good thing - I got to see Maleficent and The Fault In Our Stars. I have been meaning to watch them for so long!  Our trip starts with Sydney. We arrived from Perth on Monday evening at around 10pm. We had a booking at the Marriott Harbour Hotel and were too tired to do anything else but shower and sleep once we got to our room. On Tuesday morning we got up quite early at around 8am to get the most from our day. We were mostly walking near the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, also wandering around a bit away from the water, more in the city. I got some amazing shots and I will share them here:

What's in my carry-on bag?

I love packing for my trips. I am a huge organiser so I start preparing my cabin bag a few days before the flight. I've never been on a flight longer than 3 hours before, the longest I usually travel is between England and Estonia when I visit my family. As you all know by now, I am going on holiday to Australia for 3 weeks. We are travelling Manchester-Dubai-Perth-Sydney so there's going to be a lot of time in the air. So here's all of the stuff I've decided I can't travel without. Neck Pillow - I want to be as comfy as possible and I will be extremely grumpy without a neck pillow. This baby blue memory foam pillow is from TKMaxx and it was actually a present for Tristan. We will be sharing!  Comfy socks/slippers - My feet always get cold when I am on the plane. I want to feel cosy and relaxed - my Primark socks help with that!    Glasses, contact lens case, eye drops - As I am wearing lenses and it is going to be a very long journey,

To go to college or not go to college?

Last year at about this time I started a part time course at Manchester College, a one year GCSE course in Russian. To be honest I was quite scared to go back to school. When I finished high school it was expected that I'd continue my studies at university or college. I wasn't sure what to study - I had so many different ideas. My dream was to be an Estonian language teacher, I was interested in fashion (mainly sewing), I found biology really facinating and my friends said I'd be a good hair stylist. In the end, I chose Fishery at the Estonian University of Life Sciences. My 3 years at university was fun - I met amazing people, made a lot of good friends and lived alone, away from my family! Sadly, I didn't like my choice at all! At the end of my last year at university I got really stressed and depressed. I felt like I had wasted all of these years for nothing and I didn't have the motivation to continue. I deferred from university and didn't return.  Th

Nail care essentials

My nails have not always been in the best condition. When I was in university I had huge trouble with my nails, as they were constantly peeling and breaking. Over the past couple of years my nails have grown so much stronger, probably due to my healthier lifestyle. Lately I have been noticing my cuticles crack and peel, and have also noticed the skin around my nails is not as soft and moisturised any more. I have quite dry hands and I don't always use a hand cream, which I think I should be. I purchased Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Cuticle And Nail Treatment about a year ago and I love it! This pen nourishes dry, rough cuticles and nails instantly. It contains vitamins A, C, E, pro-vitamin B5 and aloe. I have been using this pen for over a week now (every day as I am trying to get myself into a habit) and I have found it really does deeply hydrate and keep the skin around my nails moisturised. It is so easy to use and the brush tip makes it very soft and comfortable to apply.

My Little Box - UK

Today I received a very exciting 'treasure chest' in the post. It is a 'My Little Box' - a box filled with carefully selected beauty products, fashion accessories and lifestyle bits. My Little Box is originally from France (it's about 3 years old) and only now have they have launched it in the UK. As a tribute, this months theme is Paris and the box is called 'My Little Parisienne Box'. I subscribed for £11 + £3.95 P&P and I am really happy, as it is amazing on the outside and on the inside. This little sticker was on the inside. A lovely message which goes well with the box! This is how it looks. Beautiful illustration! An illustrated piece of card by Kanako - Each month the box is themed and designed by their in-house illustrator Kanako.   A page of adorable Paris themed sticker s - I love stickers and I think they are a lovely idea, especially when they are so cute and you can stick them everywhere - on the fridge, computer
