Favourite foods

August has been my healthiest month so far. I've put together some pictures below of my favourite meals and what I like to eat. MORNING I am not a morning person and making breakfast is my least favourite thing to do. I can survive the day without eating in the morning but for the last couple of weeks I have changed my eating habits and have been having breakfast every day. I am feeling a lot more active and less sleepy during the day. The thing I noticed the most is that I don't feel the need to go to the vending machine at work during the day. Before lunch I constantly went to buy a packet of crisps or chocolate but now I am much more confident in avoiding the temptation. On weekdays I usually have granola with some fruit and vanilla yogurt . It is so filling and gives me a nice sugar boost for the day.     Whenever I am bored of granola and want something different, I boil duck eggs and have them with my favourite bread (at the moment) - date and waln

Glossybox 3rd Birthday

Glossybox is celebrating their 3rd birthday with a lovely matte looking box. The Glossy team kept the pastel pink shade but replaced the shiny glossy cover on their box. I have kept almost all of my boxes for storage - they are really cute, especially if there is a theme (Valentine's day, Independence day, Christmas etc). They look so beautiful! I always keep my things very organised and I don't see a reason to throw them away! I was looking forward for this months box. I got many emails from Glossybox before they sent this box out, giving away a few hints of what might be inside!   I'll start with the Kryolan Highlighter in shade Cashmere. Kryolan is a professional high end make up brand which has developed an exclusive highlighter just for Glossybox. I love the lid - it has a Glossybox logo on it and it has a cool design for the anniversary (reminds me of the box). This highlighter is lightweight and very creamy which makes it easy to apply. It provides c

Summer disappointments

I thought I would make my first 'Disappointments' post. Usually before buying anything, I will make sure I'm definitely getting the right product for myself. I'll read blogs/reviews, watch videos, search for pictures and so on, as I don't like to complain. Three of the products I've written about below I got from Subscription Beauty Boxes, so I didn't really get the chance to do the homework I would do normally. I still paid money for them which is of course annoying when I find out they aren't very good or don't suit me! I am going to start with NIVEA Lip Care Pearly Shine Lip Balm. This is a product I bought a long time ago from Superdrug. I mostly use Nivea Hydro Care/Essential lip balms when my lips are cracked or dry, but that day I thought I would try something different and add a bit of colour to my lips with some pearly shine. I applied it on and sadly it left a horrible and unnatural colour on my lips. I have given this lip balm so man

Love Me Beauty - Edition 3

My first August beauty box has arrived! The Love Me Beauty box took a while to arrive - usually their service is very fast and the maximum time I've had to wait has been 5 days. This time it took 9 days and I had already started to worry that maybe it had been lost in the post. Luckily, my beauty box arrived today as I was really excited to get it. I chose Edition 3 - the box contained 4 full size products.   Marsk - Mineral Eye Shadow in shade 'Lucky Penny' - RRP £14.49 I don't like loose powder eye shadows much but as it is 100% natural and cruelty free I might give it a try. It is highly pigmented and has a creamy texture which makes the product easy to apply wet or dry. A La Carte - Smudge-Proof Eyebrow Definer in Blonde - RRP £23 I've had this brand before. I got their mascara from one of the previous beauty boxes and I wasn't very impressed. I have never used water-based eyebrow definer before but luckily it can also be used as an eye

OOTD: ASOS jacket

Here is a quick casual outfit post. I am wearing my ASOS jacket with hood - I love the contrast between the black and maroon colours. It is also quite warm, good for cold and windy weather like here in England. For the past few weeks we've had so many bad, rainy days. Everything is gray and cloudy and I am constantly complaining. My wardrobe is full of dresses and skirts and I can't even wear them! Anyway, I am still trying to get most out of each day and keep smiling - at least I didn't need an umbrella today!

A day out in MCR

Tristan and I had a late breakfast in the Northern Quarter at a place called Teacup Kitchen. As the name already gives away there is a large variety of tea but there are also coffees, cakes and so much more! We both started our day with a little bit of sugar - Hearty Scone. It is a classic English scone (a single-serving cake or quick bread). I have never had a scone before but the taste and texture reminded me of something similar I've had before. It was lightly sweetened but it came with an extra dosage - a pot of clotted cream and strawberry jam.   After some food we walked around the shopping centre and I had to try on some of the sunglasses. TKMaxx had a good section of Vera Wang designs. Luckily I was able to control myself and not buy any! They were fairly cheap though, around £30 (RRP £130)!   Cole Haan I can not remember the designer of these ones. Tristan having a rest after our window shopping. We also had a quick co
