What I ate on Sunday // Week 1

I started my morning at 9am as a friend of mine came over to pick up our old Christmas tree ( we're getting a new tree this year so we needed to get rid of the old one - I can't wait to start decorating with Tristan!) . I had a warm glass of water to wake my body up and had a second glass with a slice of lemon. I don't usually drink much water in the morning - I'm usually having tea or coffee which I guess isn't the ideal way to start a day. Once I was settled, I had my Overnight Oats with cranberries, half of a banana and shredded almonds for breakfast. I love this recipe so I'll write more about it another time. Tristan got a £15 voucher from Deliveroo yesterday, so we decided to have Nandos delivered for lunch. I had a Grilled Chicken Burger with avocado, halloumi and mushroom with a side of coleslaw. It was very filling but still quite healthy.  I've been wrapped up in my blanket all day today so it has been quite a relaxing Sunday. I hav

How I fight a cold

The cold and flu season has officially started and I've recently had the chance to experience it myself. Luckily my cold lasted only a few days, as I did my best to look after myself. The best tablets that have worked for me so far are Beechams Max Strength All in One Capsules . They help with coughs, a blocked nose, headaches, sore throats, aches and fevers. I get awful headaches and congestion from a blocked and stuffy nose, so I'm also sometimes using Sudafed Congestion & Headache Relief Max Strength capsules to fight any soreness and tiredness. For a blocked nose I use Pinosol Nasal Drops . Pinosol Nasal Drops contain pine oil, peppermint and eucalyptus and it doesn't hurt or make my nose bleed like other strong nasal sprays. I don't like drinking medicine and would much rather take tablets and drink tea. When I am ill, I will only drink herbal teas. Kubja Ăśrditalu Vitamiinitee is a natural and organic Estonian loose tea (so my tea infuser is essential), wh

Viljandi, Estonia // Travelling

There is one special place left that I've not posted about from our Estonian travels , the historic little town of Viljandi. It is only an hour drive away from my hometown and we chose to spend my mums birthday there, wandering around the r uins of Viljandi castle. I also wanted to show Tristan more of Estonia and even though it was a windy and rainy day, I think he enjoyed our day trip! Viljandi Suspension Bridge leads straight to the ruins.    Dad is testing out the strength of the bridge. I mad e Tristan stand next to the r uins of the Viljandi Order Castle for proof of how massive the ruins actually are.   All that ' s left are just a few stone walls.      View of the lake St. John's Church After our walk we headed to an Italian restaurant called Cassata to celebrate my mums birthday. My mum ha d never had Tiramisu before and wanted to try it because I 've talked about it so much . Sadly it isn 't sold in her lo c

What I've Been Watching Recently // New TV Shows

I can honestly admit that I am addi cted to TV shows. I watch too many series and I think this year has been the ''bus i est'' so far. I never used to watch so many shows at once ; I only had a couple of shows I ' d follow every now and then but now I can't even miss one episode! There h ave been so many new shows out this year and I am still constantly finding new ones to get hooked on. Here are my top 6 new TV shows for 2015 : Blindspot - I was a bit sceptical about this one when I first saw the trailer but I am absolutely hooked now! I love TV shows with action, crime solving , a bit of mystery and beautiful act resses. Blood and Oil - I started watching this show because of actor Scott Michael Foster (from Chasing Life) and I love his character i n Blood And Oil too. He plays a troubled rich boy and I ' m excited to see where it all leads . I also love a good drama but only if they don't drag it out too long ! Sense 8 -

JOIK haul // Estonian skin care

The first time I heard about JOIK was a couple of years ago when I came across their web site while researching natural Estonian skin care products. I love organic beauty products and I ' ve tried different Estonian skin care products in the past so and thought to try out JOIK. Sadly, I haven't seen any shops here in the UK selling Estonian skin care products or JOIK in particular. I found a beauty shop online called Love Lula which offer s natural skin care products from so many different brands - JOIK is one of them.  Firstly I have to say that I am very pleased with Love Lula . T heir web site is really easy to navigate and my order was with me in just two days. The only thing I could pick on was that one lid was loose and the product was leaking. Luckily it was the mask powder so there wasn't much damage.  I ordered 4 products and 3 of them are quite new to me. Radiance improving cranberry and blackcurrant facial mask for dull and lifeless skin - £11 I

The 'Me-Time' Tag

What do you watch or read during me-time? I love to catch up on my favourite TV shows. At the moment I'm watching Downton Abbey, Stitchers, Chasing Life and Royal Pains. What do you wear during me-time? Definitely cosy pyjamas or a nightie with a robe and comfy socks. I love to wear my sleeping clothes if I have a day off when we haven't made any plans to go out. What are your me-time beauty products? I go through a long beauty regime when it's ''me-time''. I like to have a bubbly shower with my favourite Strawberry Scrub from Loodusepärl. My skin care is a face mask (Kaeso Rebalancing Willow Bark & Witch Hazel Face Mask) and a deep hydrating treatment (h2o+ Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment). If I am in the mood for pampering, I'll paint my toes (I usually go for a deep red nail polish). Current favourite nail polish? FNUG is my favourite nail polish brand. I am loving the shade 'Hip Newcomer'. What do you eat/drink during me-tim
