Photo Blogging Challenge: Friends and Family

This is my fourth month taking part in the Photo Blogging Challenge and 'Friends & Family' is my favourite theme so far! I moved to England 5 years ago, I was 21 and left my family and friends in Estonia. It has been the hardest thing in my life but I also met so many interesting people, made new friends and found the love of my life! Tristan and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary this month. For the past 2 years he has been taking me out to fancy restaurants but we decided to do something different this year and have a quiet night in. We cooked Chicken Katsu Curry for dinner and just enjoyed each others company. This is happy us. We had a day out in Manchester and I tried to take a 'walking-selfie' but my friend Marianne photobombed it. It was funny, though! Tristan has been spoiling me every Sunday with American-style pancakes. It has became our tradition. I am very close to my mum and dad. Even though my family live back in Estonia, we

FNUG / My Looks

I've been obsessed with FNUG nail polishes lately and have recently added another shade to my collection. My Looks is a beautiful coral shade and it perfectly brightens up my day! It has been a lovely colour to wear this month as we've had so many beautiful warm, sunny days!  What makes FNUG such a good nail polish for me is that even after a couple of days, there are no signs of chips, breakage or dry nails. I usually apply two layers and top it with my Nails inc Westminster Bridge Matte Top Coat, it makes my nails less shiny and leaves them with a subtle coral colour.

My Little Dream Box

The April edition of My Little Box arrived about a week ago but I've been so busy with everything else that I've left opening it up until the last minute. My Little Dream Box is waiting to be reviewed, so here it is!    April's My Little Dream Box included: Walt Disney Quoted Cloud My Little World Magazine/Poster Rotating Stamp - £8 ''Bonne Etoile'' Necklace - £20 Do All Things With Love Drawstring bag 3 Beauty Products ''Dreams - your head is full of them.'' So true! I feel like this time My Little Box knew exactly how I've been feeling lately. Correction - dreaming lately. I have been dreaming about everything, mostly the future of course. It is so easy to get yourself distracted from the real world. I think this Walt Disney ''If you can dream it, you can do it'' quote is a good reminder that we can dream but it is also important to make sure that we try to achieve them. I think hiding something in

Glossybox - Iconic Hollywood Edition

This month Glossybox takes us a step back in time and worships Hollywood beauty royalty. There are four collector's edition boxes with different coloured bottoms and a Marilyn Monroe print on the cover. My box is a mint green and looking very pretty - definitely worth keeping. The box contains 5 beauty products - 3 of them full size. The products are inspired by the silver screen stars whose elegant and timeless beauty is still as relevant as it was then. The Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil and POP Beauty Kajal Eyelines Pen are both essential to achieve a time-honoured look - a red lip and feline flick. Eyes and lips are the windows to the soul - when I am doing my make up, I like to concentrate on them the most. I am glad Glossybox chose these classic staples for this month. Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil in Kiss is the perfect Marilyn red. It's in pencil form which makes the application really easy and because it has the matte finish, it can be glosse

Energy bars - oats, dates and cashews

I love snacking. Each time I'm out shopping, I always pick up a few different bars (Nākd's my favourite) for in between meals and at work. These shopping trips can end up a bit expensive, as sometimes one bar is not enough. I've been making my own bars for a little while now and they have been pretty good, so I will share my recipe. Most store bought and homemade bars I have found have been raw - I've been baking them though as I love baked oats and their golden colour.  Ingredients: 1 banana 1/4 cup honey   1 cup jumbo oats 1/4 cup cashews 1/3 cup dried fruit - I used dates Instructions:  Heat oven to 180°C and line a baking tray Mash banana with fork and crush cashews. I put nuts inside a little plastic bag and smash them with a rolling pin Soak dried fruits in warm water for just a few minutes Mix all of the ingredients together - oats, nuts, fruit, then add banana and honey Bake until golden brown (10 to 15 minutes) There are a few opti

Lilla Rose Flexi Clips

Today I want to talk a bit about my hair and my recent purchase from a company called Lilla Rose . Lilla Rose is a unique hair and jewellery accessory company from the US. They have many different hair items but I was more interested in their beautiful and well-known Flexi Clip. I got myself two of these - Autumn's Delight in size small and Festive Leaf in extra small. Before ordering I made sure of which size would fit best for my flat and thin hair.       Both of my Flexi Clips look stunning. The beaded wire is quite bendable but strong, the sliding pin is adjustable and they feel high-quality. I chose mine in a copper/rust shade but there are also silver and gold shades and so many different styles and colours available. As I recently cut my long hair short, I don't have many options with styling. I usually just wear my hair in a ponytail or a half ponytail. Autumn's Delight fits all my hair between the clip and Festive Leaf is perfect for a smaller amo

Clinique Facial Soap review

A few months ago I bought a facial soap for combination to oily skin from Clinique. I started using it straight away every evening. I didn't change any other part of my skin care regime, as my sensitive combination skin doesn't like many changes. I had read so many positive reviews on this product, my friend even urged me to try it herself. The £16 soap bar comes with a dish, it's packed nicely and from the size of it, it looks like it could last years!  I didn't notice many changes to begin with. My face felt clean and soft as it normally would after washing. Days later, my skin started to become quite dry. I thought it was a good thing, as my T-zone is quite oily and that was the reason I bought the bar in the first place! A week later I started getting clogged pores, especially on my nose. I kept using it following this for two months - I thought my skin needed to get used to the soap over time but my issues just got worse. I started breaking out much
