My Little Dream Box

The April edition of My Little Box arrived about a week ago but I've been so busy with everything else that I've left opening it up until the last minute. My Little Dream Box is waiting to be reviewed, so here it is!

April's My Little Dream Box included:
  • Walt Disney Quoted Cloud
  • My Little World Magazine/Poster
  • Rotating Stamp - £8
  • ''Bonne Etoile'' Necklace - £20
  • Do All Things With Love Drawstring bag
  • 3 Beauty Products

''Dreams - your head is full of them.'' So true! I feel like this time My Little Box knew exactly how I've been feeling lately. Correction - dreaming lately. I have been dreaming about everything, mostly the future of course. It is so easy to get yourself distracted from the real world. I think this Walt Disney ''If you can dream it, you can do it'' quote is a good reminder that we can dream but it is also important to make sure that we try to achieve them.

I think hiding something inside the Once Upon A Dream cloud was an amazing idea! Jewellery designer Delphine Pariente has created an exclusive gold ''Bonne Etoile'' locket for My Little Dream Box. It has a lovely pink cord and overall it looks like a good quality fashion piece.

The note on the card says that if you want to keep the necklace longer, don't let it get in contact with water. Unfortunately I am allergic to nickel which I think this might be made from - I have to cover my trouser buttons from the inside with a little plaster, some earrings make my earlobes itchy and necklaces leave a rash around my neck. Luckily the pink cord is long so I can adjust it to the desired length and wear it over the top of my clothes. It looks cute and simple - it would be a shame to not be able to wear it.

This Rotating Stamp is such an interesting thing and it brings back so many childhood memories! When I was little, I owned a couple of stamps - smiley faces and some random words. This stamp has twelve messages/phrases and can be used on envelopes, cards, in a journal or wherever I am short of things to say. It comes with black ink and is really easy to use.

My Little Box always selects great products for their beauty section. They come with a lovely little drawstring bag and are packed nicely.

Each time one product is included from their own My Little Beauty range and this time it is a Reparing Hair Mask For Dry Ends. It is a 100ml tube (£7), which is a lot of product for me, as my hair is quite short at the moment. It contains walnut oil and shea butter, which means it is very moisturising and would give a real boost to dry and damaged hair. It should be applied from the tips and left for 2 minutes, then rinsed with cold water to seal hair cuticles.

Lip Balm Loved By Lou Lesage in an exclusively designed lip balm for Loved By. Loved By is a new sweet and chic brand that invites heart-stopping personalities to design make up and skincare products just for you! Lou Lesage, French actress and singer, described her dream red-tinted lip balm to the Loved By team who rushed to the lab in order to made it a reality. The moisturising, subtle colouring and non-drying small pot is a cute essential for the handbag! £8

The most exciting product for me is the Sabe Masson Soft Perfumes Stick in Copacabana (£15). It has a 100% natural composition base with 10% added concentration of fragrance, this perfume stick is alcohol and paraben free. It can be applied on the neck, wrists and behind the ears and is hydrating, soft, calming and suits all skin types. The stick contains tiare oil which is extracted from a Tahitian flower - ideal for replenishing skin moisture. Mine is in Copacabana, which is fresh and exotic but also a very delicate and sophisticated fragrance. I adore the packaging - it is so fashionable but also arty and has a natural, earthy look.

Every month My Little Box delivers over £65 of goodies to my doorstep and I still can't believe I pay only £11 + P&P for it. This box is like a dream!

Glossybox - Iconic Hollywood Edition

This month Glossybox takes us a step back in time and worships Hollywood beauty royalty. There are four collector's edition boxes with different coloured bottoms and a Marilyn Monroe print on the cover. My box is a mint green and looking very pretty - definitely worth keeping. The box contains 5 beauty products - 3 of them full size. The products are inspired by the silver screen stars whose elegant and timeless beauty is still as relevant as it was then. The Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil and POP Beauty Kajal Eyelines Pen are both essential to achieve a time-honoured look - a red lip and feline flick. Eyes and lips are the windows to the soul - when I am doing my make up, I like to concentrate on them the most. I am glad Glossybox chose these classic staples for this month. Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil in Kiss is the perfect Marilyn red. It's in pencil form which makes the application really easy and because it has the matte finish, it can be glosse

4 Days in Rome / Day 2 More sightseeing and tours

We planned for Monday to be our main sightseeing day. The morning was started with breakfast at our hotel before we left at 10am. A bus to the city centre took us just 10 minutes - €1.20 for one way ticket. Our first stop was at Piazza Venezia, a major circus and known as the central hub of Rome. The majority of Rome's popular tourist attractions are easily accessible from here and are within walking distance. The Altare della Patria (Altar of the Fatherland) caught my eye and we decided to see it up close. This monument was built in 1925 in honour of King Victor Emmanuel, making it quite a new attraction compared to the rest of the Rome and its architecture.   From the top of the building you can see a 360 degree view of Rome. A ticket to the top costs €7 but you can stay on the roof as long as you like!    Our next stop was Santa Maria in Aracoeli , another beautiful Catholic church with a monumental staircase. While you can see the Col

Jewellery box

It is time to take a look inside my jewellery box! I don't wear many accessories during the winter. Why? Maybe because I am all wrapped up and it can be so annoying when earrings, necklaces, bracelets and so on get caught on the extra clothes. But now that spring has arrived, it is time to take all of my accessories out and start wearing them!     I had actually forgotten how much I had in this box - it was such a surprise. It felt like I had just bought them again! I found loads of hair clips and hairbands, which were all ordered from eBay. I don't think I have paid over £5 for any one of them (postage and packing included). They came from China and like everybody knows, it takes about a month for them to arrive!   This peacock hair clip is my favourite. I have worn it a couple of times and I can't really complain about the quality. It actually looks like it is worth a bit more than the £2 I paid.     I love these two hair clips. Th
