Smartly dressed by the canal

The canal is my favourite place for pictures. The lighting is just so good near the water and the trees give a bit of shadow. There was nice weather outside today, which made me dress more lightly. I made my look quite smart. I felt comfortable and very feminine. I am wearing my Betty Jackson.Black white silky top from Debenhams and Mary Portas snake skin smart ankle trousers from House of Fraser. These trousers look amazing, I love them but in the pictures it is hard to see how they really look. They have this deep ocean blue colour, a bit shiny as well because of the material and the print.  The bag is my latest vintage purchase. I bought it from the Manchester Vintage Kilo Sale this month. I posted about it here if anyone is interested. My shoes are from Urban Outfitters. I just love them! I think they go with every outfit. I have worn them with jeans, dresses, skirts, smart trousers... basically with everything and they look so beautiful. A cute dog

Cotton theme in my closet

I recently made an order online and got these two lovely things - Toms Shoes and a backpack. I have been so busy lately that I haven't had time to go shopping, so I am loving just lying on the couch and exploring online shops.   This denim lace backpack is from SwankySwans . Their online shop is amazing. They have so many different styles and a large section of bags - satchel, clutch, handbags, crossbody... I was thinking to get a more sporty bag but when I saw this style I just had to get it. I think it is so much me. It has two little pockets and inside pockets, which are very useful. I think leathered parts especially (two back straps and bottom of the bag) make this denim bag complete. Leather gives so much of a cooler look to this bag. I love the lace and golden buckle. It has a leather drawstring and magnetic button closures.   These canvas shoes are from an Office eBay shop. They are part of the Earthwise Classics Collection and the colour is

Wild Ferns and Pecksniff's - Manuka honey and mandarin

I am loving these 2 products at the moment - Pecksniff's Hand Wash and Wild Ferns Manuka Honey Facial Scrub.   First I will talk about Wild Ferns Facial Scrub .  This is a gentle scrub containing pure active Manuka honey. Manuka is a flowering tea tree native to New Zealand. The honey that is collected from these flowers has long been renowned for its remarkable beneficial properties - antibacterial properties including an enzyme that produces hydrogen peroxide, which is a proven antiseptic. It is extremely rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals and has the outstanding ability to nourish, soothe and heal sensitive skin. Manuka honey also contains active antioxidants that neutralise free radicals which are responsible for skin cell damage. Manuka honey assists in the growth of new cell and tissue regeneration. I was using L'Oreal Paris Dermo Expertise Clean Wash before but as I had run out I thought I would try something different. I was looking around Amazon and notic

Glossybox - Summer Beauty Edit with Superdrug

This month Glossybox teamed up with iconic British beauty retailer Superdrug to celebrate a very special 50th birthday. Inside there were 5 full size products and 2 sample size bonus products. I'll start with the 2 bonus products . Garnier Oil Beauty Lotion . I won't go into the Garnier lotion much as I am not a big fan of this product and I get these little sample size testers all the time, which I try out of course. GHOST Fragrances Eclipse - RRP £33 for 50ml. It has a fresh fruity floral smell. It is a sweet scent - I can mostly smell mandarin and apple. I am not the biggest fan of this scent, as it is just doesn't stand out for me. It is a great sample to use though, so I might just pop it in the bag and it carry around.    Scholl Velvet Smooth Overnight Mask - RRP £7.99 for 60 ml. It is a night mask that stimulates cell re-growth. For best results, this cream is applied and massaged on clean and dry feet before going to bed. It is full of

Love Me Beauty May - Edition 3

Each month I have been thinking of cancelling my Love Me Beauty box subscription but each time a new edition comes out I want it straight away! I have noticed that my favourite from all of the menus has been the last one. For three months in a row I have been choosing Edition 3.   I am going to start with the British handcrafted organic skincare brand Suti . The packet is lovely, very elegant and it really gives a good impression of the product. Here is a little description about each of them from the card: The 'Cleanse Balm' draws out impurities cleanses the skin of dirt, pollutants and make-up.   The 'Purity Balm' soothes and cocoons the skin with its incredibly pure and potent botanicals, also contains a natural healing and skin strengthening formulation. The 'Fabulous Foot Balm' is a rich and nourishing foot balm to help rehydrate and revive chapped, tired and aching feet.  'Cleanse balm' is massaged into damp sk
