Photo Blogging Challenge: Winter

I am taking part in a Photo Blogging Challenge created by PJ at A'lil Hoohaa . This months theme was 'Winter', so I will get straight to the point and share my pictures.  Winter sun . Nothing beats the Manchester sky on the sunny day, especially when it's winter. I love to take pictures of the sun - every single detail comes out and these trees are just so sharp and beautiful. Snowdrops. Where else could you find snowdrops in February but Manchester!?     C vitamin. For me winter is all about cozy slippers, warm clothes and lemon water.  Wrapped up. I don't think it has been under -5 degrees this month but it has still been freezing cold! I hate cold and a strong wind always makes it worse, so I am properly protected by my big hood and a scarf around my neck. Manchester has been absolutely snow free this month but I don't think it's only the snow which makes it 'winter'. For me, it's eating cheesecake, drinking t

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

I've used Elizabeth Arden skin care and make-up products before, so I was really happy when Tristan got me this beautiful Eight Hour Cream gift set for Christmas. I have been using them since and it has been such a big help in the cold and windy Manchester weather. After looking up a bit of history behind Elizabeth Arden I was surprised to find out that Eight Hour Cream was first created in 1930. This award winning cream has been around for so many years, helping people with skin dryness and flaking.  It soothes the skin, provides relief for chapped lips, smoothes rough patches on knees, feet and elbows and softens tough hard cuticles. It is a fast absorbing hydrating cream which lavishes the entire body, saturates deeply and moisturises intensely while leaving skin luxuriously soft and smooth for eight beautiful hours. My Little Frenchie Box

My Little Box subscribers in February received a collaboration box with a French model, the face of Chanel in the 80s, Queen of Paris - Ines de La Fressange .  What does it mean to be a Parisian woman? I read an interview with Ines in My Little World magazine to try to understand the 'Frenchie' theme a little more. After reading the interview, it all makes sense to me how she became (and still is) a French fashion icon. Ines was different from all the other women modelling in the 1970's - she was outspoken and independent at a time when models were pictured as walking coat hangers and paid to frown. She did and still does whatever she likes, breaking the rules and refusing to dress like a girly girl. Her own brand, launched in 1991, became a style reference - blazer, trench coat, navy jumper and ballet flats are all part of the Parisian style. Coming back to the box, the My Little (Frenchie) Box this month included several fashion, lifestyle and beauty products:  A M

Tallinn Old Town

Tristan and I visited Estonia in December last year - Tallinn and Valga were our two main stops. If you want to read other posts about my home town Valga , beautiful Tallinn Christmas Market , Cafe Maiasmokk and five star The Three Sisters Hotel , simply click on the links. Every time I visit Tallinn I love it more and more! I still have a couple more pictures to share and I want to do it before winter ends. Hope you like them!

Glossybox UK - Love Edition

My February Glossybox arrived a couple of days ago and only now have I had the chance to review it. As this month we celebrate Valentine's Day, Glossybox has released a LOVE Edition box which comes with five hand picked beauty products, three of them full size.    I am going to start with the make up. This months box included three products all inspired by Valentine's Day. Royal Apothic Tinties Lip Butter - full size, $14 for 3.4g Royal Apothic is a quirky brand from Los Angeles, inspired by an old apothecary manual and is a favourite of Victoria Beckham. This pot is my favourite. I am a big fan of vintage and it looks so gorgeous on my dressing table. This Tinted Lip Conditioner contains shea butter and trio of oils (argan, grape seed, almond) to nourish and condition lips with the perfect hint of colour. The shade is a light coral which is perfect to apply over lipstick for moisture and shine. It also works fine on bare lips. So Susan Rose Quartet

Valentine's Day beauty regime

Valentine's Day is in just a couple of days so today I'll be sharing the beauty products I will be using to treat my body this Saturday.  Looduse Pärl Strawberry Sugar Body Scrub (Maasikas)  The Body Shop Strawberry Shower Gel Nougat London Limited Sparkling Body Shimmer Cherry Blossom Ciate London nailpolish in Play Date No7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Toner  John Frieda Frizz-Ease Original 6 Effects Serum The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter   No7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Toner is quite a new product in my beauty regime. I have very sensitive skin and therefore am very careful about what products I use. I bought the No7 toner a couple of months ago and I have been using it every day since - it keeps my skin fresh, comfortable and hydrated. It makes a perfect base for make-up. I love John Frida hair products and Frizz-Ease Serum is something I am using to protect my hair from humidity and heat. I apply it to my wet hair and style. The result is glossy

Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide - Starting again

The last time I posted about my workout regime was in November last year when I started the Kayla Itsines BBG healthy eating plan and 12 week workout sessions. I think I got up to week 4 before I lost my motivation because of illness and Christmas. My friend Marianne and I started BBG again on the 5th of January with thousands of other girls and joined #thekaylamovement and #kaylasarmy to share our journey along this painful but exciting path.  You can read my first post about the BBG programme here as I am explaining a bit more on how I 'found' Kayla and how the training works.  I have done BBG for 5 weeks now (the first 2 weeks we did pre-training) and I'm feeling quite positive. I've not seen much progress myself - I still have my weak areas like tummy, bum and thighs. I do feel much stronger though! I'm doing all of the workouts properly, I have strength in my legs and arms - it is quite easy to do 10 push ups and continue with triceps and mountain clim
