Glossybox UK - Love Edition

My February Glossybox arrived a couple of days ago and only now have I had the chance to review it. As this month we celebrate Valentine's Day, Glossybox has released a LOVE Edition box which comes with five hand picked beauty products, three of them full size.

I am going to start with the make up. This months box included three products all inspired by Valentine's Day.

Royal Apothic Tinties Lip Butter - full size, $14 for 3.4g

Royal Apothic is a quirky brand from Los Angeles, inspired by an old apothecary manual and is a favourite of Victoria Beckham. This pot is my favourite. I am a big fan of vintage and it looks so gorgeous on my dressing table. This Tinted Lip Conditioner contains shea butter and trio of oils (argan, grape seed, almond) to nourish and condition lips with the perfect hint of colour. The shade is a light coral which is perfect to apply over lipstick for moisture and shine. It also works fine on bare lips.

So Susan Rose Quartet Lip & Cheek Palette in shade Warm Rose - sample size 4g, £8 for 4g

This versatile palette can be used on lips and cheeks for a beautiful pink shade. Sadly, I am not too impressed with the product at all. Firstly, the quality is quite rubbish; the package feels and looks cheap and the fact that the product actually sits in the palette a bit uneven makes me not want to touch it at all. I can't believe someone would pay £8 for this. I don't actually see why this was included - it is a pretty poor quality sample and the box already included a good lip product this month.

MARSK Mineral Eyeshadow in Fifty Shades - full size, £14.49 for 1.2g

With a colour palette inspired by Fifty Shades of Grey, this is the only grey you need to create a deep and intensive smokey eye. This mineral powder-based eye shadow is 100% natural, highly pigmented and has a creamy texture, which makes it easy to blend. I love dramatic eyes and I love Marsk - thank you, Glossybox!

Schwarzkopt got2be All star 10 in 1 styling - £4.07 for 100ml

This 10-in-1 styling treatment delivers shine, fullness, strength, thickness, smoothness, suppleness, protection, anti-frizz, heat and humidity proof hair and keeps it all in place. Wow, this product sounds like a real star! I will try it out soon as I can and hopefully it does everything it promises. I love hair products and it is always great to discover new ones - there are never enough of them for me.

Wilkinson Sword Hyrdo Silk - full size, £9.99

With a water-activated moisturising serum infused with marine extracts and shea butter, this razor hydrates skin for up to 2 hours after shaving. Five curve sensing blades give incredible closeness and the result is super soft legs. You can also replace the blades which is quite handy. On their webpage you can get a 3 Pack for £8.49 which is a good price, I think.

I love this months box! Out of the 5 products I received, only 1 disappointed me. I think it is a good deal for only £10 (+P&P) to get so many good and useful things. I like to experiment with new products and brands and I love how Glossybox is continuing to introduce me to them. Hopefully they keep surprising me!

  9. I've never bought a glossy box, but am really tempted to sign up now! It looks like you actually get some really useful, usable things. Smaller sized products you get in these sort of boxes are also so great for travelling! x

  10. How cute is the packaging for the Royal Apothic Tinties lip butter! I want it just for my desk :) I use Wilkinsons Sword razors, the blades you can get are so good. Expensive though! Razors are such a joke.

The Body Shop Manchester Arndale Bloggers Event

I've been blogging for almost two years now but I'd still consider myself a newbie in the blogging world. On Thursday I had the chance to go to my first bloggers event at The Body Shop in Manchester to celebrate the release of an amazing new range on the 5th of May, including new bronzing items and a couple of vitamin C products! I was wearing my butterfly bow-tie brooch to the event and styled it with a white short sleeved shirt. It was a closed door event, so it was a good opportunity to browse all of the products and explore the new ones thoroughly! The event started at 8pm and I was one of the first ones to arrive. We were welcomed with milkshakes, fruit cocktails and lemonade. I went for water - shy and modest! There was also a white chocolate fountain and strawberries we had the chance to enjoy. The event was carried out by Fiona - she is a skin expert at the Manchester store. Everyone was able to get personal skin consult...

OOTD - The sun has come out!

It has been such a long time since my last fashion post, I've been missing them so much! The second the sun came out, Tristan and I went to the canal and took a few pictures. I think it is still too early for sunglasses but a light jacket is okay when you wear a jumper underneath (Primark) and a cosy leopard print scarf (Linea Cashmink) around your neck.  My black Veromoda jacket and shoes are both from Best Secret. You'll all know by now how much I've been raving about it. I think it is an amazing place for online shopping. I love the copper detailing and the simple look on my jacket, plus it's super lightweight. My trainers are by Puma & Alexander McQueen (click here to read my previous post). I also just noticed that I don't have any good shots of my Michael Kors bag, which I absolutely adore by the way! I'm sure everybody knows how beautiful these bags are so I think this will do for now. The bag and scarf were both Christmas presents fr...

Lilla Rose Flexi Clips

Today I want to talk a bit about my hair and my recent purchase from a company called Lilla Rose . Lilla Rose is a unique hair and jewellery accessory company from the US. They have many different hair items but I was more interested in their beautiful and well-known Flexi Clip. I got myself two of these - Autumn's Delight in size small and Festive Leaf in extra small. Before ordering I made sure of which size would fit best for my flat and thin hair.       Both of my Flexi Clips look stunning. The beaded wire is quite bendable but strong, the sliding pin is adjustable and they feel high-quality. I chose mine in a copper/rust shade but there are also silver and gold shades and so many different styles and colours available. As I recently cut my long hair short, I don't have many options with styling. I usually just wear my hair in a ponytail or a half ponytail. Autumn's Delight fits all my hair between the clip and Festive Leaf is perfect for a smal...
