Glossybox UK / Summer's Calling

Glossybox in May prepares us for summer with 5 carefully chosen beauty products. All of the items are small, making them really easy to carry around in a handbag or take on holiday. I'm planning to travel as much as possible this summer, so hopefully some of these will be useful! Zerreau Towel Off Shampoo Foam - This is a sample size, full size £7.95 This product is described as the next generation of dry shampoo. It cleanses the hair, leaving it silky soft and fresh without need of water! The foam should be applied directly to the scalp and massaged in to lift dirt and grease, then whilst wet and soapy, removed by towel drying. I t seems like too much hassle to me. I prefer a quick shower, especially when it's warm outside and my short hair would dry in minutes. I am not overly impressed with dry shampoos. I use minimal treatment on my hair and like to give it a more natural look during the summer. This foam has a delicate apple scent which I like, though I am ...

Glossybox - Iconic Hollywood Edition

This month Glossybox takes us a step back in time and worships Hollywood beauty royalty. There are four collector's edition boxes with different coloured bottoms and a Marilyn Monroe print on the cover. My box is a mint green and looking very pretty - definitely worth keeping. The box contains 5 beauty products - 3 of them full size. The products are inspired by the silver screen stars whose elegant and timeless beauty is still as relevant as it was then. The Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil and POP Beauty Kajal Eyelines Pen are both essential to achieve a time-honoured look - a red lip and feline flick. Eyes and lips are the windows to the soul - when I am doing my make up, I like to concentrate on them the most. I am glad Glossybox chose these classic staples for this month. Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil in Kiss is the perfect Marilyn red. It's in pencil form which makes the application really easy and because it has the matte finish, it can be glosse...

Glossybox UK - Step into Spring

Time to open another box. I've been subscribed to Glossybox for over a year now and I have honestly been thinking of cancelling my subscription for a while. Then suddenly this happens - this month's box is full of interesting brands I have never heard of! This month we have 5 full size products for only £10 + P&P. Spring is finally here with a 'Step into Spring' theme. The new season brings a fresh approach - more colours, new products and a change to our beauty regime.   NAOBAY Moisturizing Peeling - full size, 100ml for £13.71 NAOBAY is a Spanish eco-brand with an amazing message - natural and organic ingredients are better for our body and the environment. The packaging is stylish, attractive, unique and every container comes from recycled or recyclable materials. This organic facial peeling milk with particles from the Acai palm tree peels gently, exfoliates the skin and removes surface cells and impurities. It helps reduce the appearance of fi...

Glossybox UK - Love Edition

My February Glossybox arrived a couple of days ago and only now have I had the chance to review it. As this month we celebrate Valentine's Day, Glossybox has released a LOVE Edition box which comes with five hand picked beauty products, three of them full size.    I am going to start with the make up. This months box included three products all inspired by Valentine's Day. Royal Apothic Tinties Lip Butter - full size, $14 for 3.4g Royal Apothic is a quirky brand from Los Angeles, inspired by an old apothecary manual and is a favourite of Victoria Beckham. This pot is my favourite. I am a big fan of vintage and it looks so gorgeous on my dressing table. This Tinted Lip Conditioner contains shea butter and trio of oils (argan, grape seed, almond) to nourish and condition lips with the perfect hint of colour. The shade is a light coral which is perfect to apply over lipstick for moisture and shine. It also works fine on bare lips. So Susan Rose Quartet...

Glossybox UK - Fresh start must-haves

The New Year starts big with Glossybox - five full size products and a £25 gift card from HelloFresh. I am not overly excited about the gift card as I have received it several times already in other subscription boxes and magazines, I'm still not convinced enough to order food from their website. Has anyone used HelloFresh? What was your experience? I was very excited when I opened the box as I only knew of and had tried one of the brands before (MeMeMe) so the other 4 were completely unknown to me. Nicka K New York Colorluxe Powder Blush - €8.95 for 5g, shade Romantic The card says that this loose powder blush makes no mess, keeps the bottom of your handbag clean and won't cause a powder explosion. I am not so sure I like it very much. I am not a big fan of loose powder blushes, so immediately I was prepared for the worst. This powder puff applicator is super soft but so hard to work with. You have to push the sponge onto your cheeks which ends in some parts bei...

Glossybox UK / December

Christmas this year came early with Glossybox ! I received my box on Saturday (6th of December) which is pretty amazing - usually they don't arrive until almost the end of the month. I am going on holiday in a few days and I will be back just before Christmas, so I am super happy that I have the opportunity to take some of these products with me on my trip! The box looks absolutely gorgeous! I love the snow pattern and the print looks like a Christmas present.  Inside there are 5 products and 4 of them are full sized.  I am going to start with the TRESemmé Renewal Hair and Scalp Nourish & Renew Tonic - £5.50 for 150ml With tea tree extract and sunflower seed oil, this salon quality tonic will instantly help to nourish the scalp and renew the hair. For the best results, start with TRESemmé Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner. On damp hair, apply a small amount of tonic directly onto the scalp. Tilt your head and use the nozzle to lift hair in sections to target ...
