DIY Wrap Bracelet

It's been a while since I last opened my craft box. I got a bit of inspiration after I posted about my new Auren bracelet. So I thought I would show something I've just made and how easy it actually is! Before I started, I was looking around the Internet for some tutorials and got some ideas about materials to use. For this bracelet you need: Brass ball chain - My silver chain is 60 cm long Leather cord - I am using 1mm, but it could even be 1.5 mm for a bit of a wider base Bead cord - C-Lon Tex 400 Bead Cord 0.9mm Wooden bead for fastening   Fold the leather cord in half and prepare a little loop. Make sure the fastener bead will go through the loop.  Start wrapping the bead cord around the leather cord. I did it about 5 times. I measured my loop because it is quite easy to pull the red bead cord up or down depending how big you want it.  Place the ball chain on your leather cord and start wrapping red cord around it tightly.

Auren bracelet

I love discovering new brands and have fallen for the elegant and sophisticated new jewellery brand Auren. I bought this bracelet from BrandAlley . It is an amazing website, where you can buy designer clothes, shoes, accessories and even home accessories. I saw a sale for Auren jewellery and thought to get this beautiful Turquoise & Ruby stone gold bracelet.   The chain is very thin but this doesn't mean there is no detail, as the stones and the letter A give more detail to the fragile chain. I love the colour of the stones and especially the beautiful little ruby, which adds a bit of fire to the bracelet. I think it is nice to wear some other jewellery with this bracelet for a more casual look, as it looks very elegant alone. I already have some DIY ideas ready and definitely will do a small crafty post soon.

Birchbox UK April 2014

Birchbox time! This month's theme is inspired by local food markets, the kitchen and all of our favourite eateries. These samples feature delicious scents and foodie elements.  I was waiting for this month's box with huge excitement and when it arrived I was equally happy and disappointed. I was looking forward to discover the TommyGuns Pomegranate shampoo in the April box but unluckily I don't think my profile met the criteria. Anyway, I am glad at least to have been given the option to choose a nail polish colour that I liked most (out of the 4 Birchbox was offering this month). I chose a beautiful pearly green colour and couldn't wait to try it on my nails. Campos De Ibiza Almendra Body Milk - Mine is a sample size 38ml. RRP £16.55. I get never tired of a box when there is a body milk inside. I love to try different moisturisers. Luckily my skin is not very sensitive (except for my face) and I can use different brands and different lotions, body milks,

A day out in Media City

It is a lovely Bank Holiday Monday today, so I decided (as the subject suggests) to visit Media City. I haven't walked around there properly before, although I have been to the theater and museum a couple of times. It's like being in another town, very modern and futuristic, loads of new buildings and everything is so shiny and glassy. Media City is where a lot of media organizations are based or have offices, like the BBC and ITV. I also went to the local shopping centre - Lowry Outlet and walked around near the canal. Tristan is wearing his Ray Ban aviator glasses. My sunglasses are by Patrick Cox. My all time favourites. I am wearing my H&M grey short sleeve cardigan with hood. I really like this casual look and it goes perfectly with a longer sleeve top or blouse underneath. I paired it with my stripey black and white Jersey top, which is also from H&M. My jeans are black ankle jeans from Zara and I am wearing black ballerinas from Primark.

Easter

Tristan got me a little present for Easter. It is Betty's Dark Chocolate & Geranium Easter Egg, which is hand-decorated and flavoured with fragrant geranium. I love dark chocolate! And today we got some more chocolate and American sweets.   Happy Easter, everybody!

Love Me Beauty, Edition 3 - April

I was waiting for this month's Love Me Beauty box with excitement. This month I got Edition 3, mostly because I was looking forward to using the shampoo and nail polish. Inside there were 5 products and a £25 Hello Fresh gift card.  I am going to start with Neäl & Wølf Ritual Daily Cleansing Shampoo - RRP £11.50 for 250ml. Mine is a full size product. I have not found a good shampoo for my hair - recently it has not been in very good condition. Hopefully with this product I can see which direction to go with it. I am also pleased with this as I can wash my hair daily. It does not have any particular smell but after washing it gives a nice, fresh salon look and smell.   Redken Colour Extend Conditioner - RRP £9.99 for 250ml. Mine is a 25ml sample size conditioner for coloured hair. It de-tangles and provides protection from fading and helps with restoring colour vibrancy. I am growing my hair out as previously I had been dyeing it. My ends are still very co
