My Little Box - UK

Today I received a very exciting 'treasure chest' in the post. It is a 'My Little Box' - a box filled with carefully selected beauty products, fashion accessories and lifestyle bits. My Little Box is originally from France (it's about 3 years old) and only now have they have launched it in the UK. As a tribute, this months theme is Paris and the box is called 'My Little Parisienne Box'. I subscribed for £11 + £3.95 P&P and I am really happy, as it is amazing on the outside and on the inside.

This little sticker was on the inside. A lovely message which goes well with the box!

This is how it looks. Beautiful illustration!

An illustrated piece of card by Kanako - Each month the box is themed and designed by their in-house illustrator Kanako.

A page of adorable Paris themed stickers - I love stickers and I think they are a lovely idea, especially when they are so cute and you can stick them everywhere - on the fridge, computer, phone, notebook or even on the window!

Notebook with blank pages - There are never enough notebooks! I am quite old fashioned - I prefer using pen and paper rather than making notes on my phone or computer. It is actually a really nice notebook so I might use it for more important things like a diary.

The first 10 pages in the notebook are about their story - who they are and what to expect in future boxes.

A Parisienne Girl illustrated laptop sleeve - I am a bit sad as I can not use it as a laptop sleeve. My Sony Vaio is a bit too big for this case. My boyfriend's Mac laptop fits perfectly but I doubt he will use it!

I found an alternative though - I can use it to protect the books/notebooks/papers I carry around in my bag, as it folds up and noone will even know what is it actually for!

A Drawstring Bag including 3 beauty products.

A 30ml Laura Mercier Foundation Primer - This is a lightweight, water based gel that creates the perfect canvas for makeup application formulated for oily, sensitive and acne-prone skins. This gel forms an even, invisible layer that acts as a buffer to outside elements, expertly holding foundation for longer wear and keeping cosmetics from being absorbed into the skin. It can be also used alone to give a fresh and natural glow to naked skin.

A 10ml Nuxe Multi Purpose Dry Oil (face, body, hair) - Loved by models and beauty insiders the world over, the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Usage Dry Oil infuses the skin and the hair with moisture. It is lightweight and made up of natural origin ingredients with a high concentration of precious plant oils, including borage, sweet almond, hazelnut, St. John's wort, camellia, and macadamia. It is easily-absorbed and leaves skin feeling soft, supple and hydrated, with a comfortable dry touch finish. The hair looks glossy, lustrous and feels manageable.

A My Little Beauty Stylo Lumière (highlighter) - It has a velvety texture and is perfect as a concealer or can be also used on/around eyes. It is water proof and really easy to apply. This highlighter can be a eyeshadow primer or a quick foundation fixer!

The Body Shop Manchester Arndale Bloggers Event

I've been blogging for almost two years now but I'd still consider myself a newbie in the blogging world. On Thursday I had the chance to go to my first bloggers event at The Body Shop in Manchester to celebrate the release of an amazing new range on the 5th of May, including new bronzing items and a couple of vitamin C products! I was wearing my butterfly bow-tie brooch to the event and styled it with a white short sleeved shirt. It was a closed door event, so it was a good opportunity to browse all of the products and explore the new ones thoroughly! The event started at 8pm and I was one of the first ones to arrive. We were welcomed with milkshakes, fruit cocktails and lemonade. I went for water - shy and modest! There was also a white chocolate fountain and strawberries we had the chance to enjoy. The event was carried out by Fiona - she is a skin expert at the Manchester store. Everyone was able to get personal skin consult...

OOTD - The sun has come out!

It has been such a long time since my last fashion post, I've been missing them so much! The second the sun came out, Tristan and I went to the canal and took a few pictures. I think it is still too early for sunglasses but a light jacket is okay when you wear a jumper underneath (Primark) and a cosy leopard print scarf (Linea Cashmink) around your neck.  My black Veromoda jacket and shoes are both from Best Secret. You'll all know by now how much I've been raving about it. I think it is an amazing place for online shopping. I love the copper detailing and the simple look on my jacket, plus it's super lightweight. My trainers are by Puma & Alexander McQueen (click here to read my previous post). I also just noticed that I don't have any good shots of my Michael Kors bag, which I absolutely adore by the way! I'm sure everybody knows how beautiful these bags are so I think this will do for now. The bag and scarf were both Christmas presents fr...

Lilla Rose Flexi Clips

Today I want to talk a bit about my hair and my recent purchase from a company called Lilla Rose . Lilla Rose is a unique hair and jewellery accessory company from the US. They have many different hair items but I was more interested in their beautiful and well-known Flexi Clip. I got myself two of these - Autumn's Delight in size small and Festive Leaf in extra small. Before ordering I made sure of which size would fit best for my flat and thin hair.       Both of my Flexi Clips look stunning. The beaded wire is quite bendable but strong, the sliding pin is adjustable and they feel high-quality. I chose mine in a copper/rust shade but there are also silver and gold shades and so many different styles and colours available. As I recently cut my long hair short, I don't have many options with styling. I usually just wear my hair in a ponytail or a half ponytail. Autumn's Delight fits all my hair between the clip and Festive Leaf is perfect for a smal...
