My Little Box UK Christmas / December

This month My Little Box has teamed up with fashion and beauty blogger/vlogger Fleur De Force for their December edition. The outside of the box looks super girly and I think it is one of my favourites so far!

The box includes several Christmas-related goodies and 3 beauty products.

I am really happy with this cute little knitted hairband. The last time I wore a hairband was years ago when I was in primary school. It brings back lot of memories and I prefer this grey colour for a more modest look. It is very well made and has a bit of shiny thread woven in making it look a bit seasonal. I am definitely going to wear it - I never say no to accessories!

The box included several gift wrapping essentials like patterned tapegift tags and string. I think it is a lovely idea for those who love wrapping presents for Christmas. I am probably going to use them as I still have a few presents left to wrap!

This months My Little Word magazine is filled with inspiring women, Christmas DIY ideas, make up tutorials, recipes and an interview with UK blogger Fleur from Fleur De Force.

Like all of the other boxes, Kanako has illustrated another card for Christmas with a lovely message at the top.

Each month the box includes 3 beauty products. This time we've got a body lotion, face cream and a lipstick.

Cowshed Wild Cow Invigorating Body Lotion with essential oils of lemongrass, ginger and rosemary sounds so Christmasy! I have heard a lot about this brand and I am happy to get my hands on one of their products. Cowshed body lotion refreshes and warms the skin, awakens the senses and sharpens the mind. All of the natural ingredients make it easily absorbed, leaving the skin silky smooth and ready for the party season! The bottle is cute and very simple. 100 ml for £18

L'Occitane Immortelle Precious Cream is ideal for normal to dry skin. It is a rich, smooth moisturiser which visibly corrects deep wrinkles and helps restore firmness to the skin. The combination of organic immortelle essential oil and organic immortelle cell extracts offers smoother, firmer and protected skin. It is quite a pricy product, £45 for 50ml (mine is a sample size of 15). I am probably giving it away - I don't think it suits my skin type.

My Little Beauty team created a lipstick shade that really does suit all - berry red. The texture is quite creamy and it looks lighter on the lips than I thought it would. The packaging feels quite cheap - made from cardboard instead of plastic - but will be helping the environment!

Overall, I am not the biggest fan of the December box. I love the hairband as it goes well with my style and I am really pleased with the Cowshed body lotion but I guess I just had higher hopes for this month.

I still think My Little Box is the best subscription box I have tried - I can't wait what they have for us for next year!

  8. This is such a generous and beautifully presented box - I love the idea of not keeping to purely beauty products and including a sweet accessory as well. The box is so beautiful and feminine.. I love it! :)

The Body Shop Manchester Arndale Bloggers Event

I've been blogging for almost two years now but I'd still consider myself a newbie in the blogging world. On Thursday I had the chance to go to my first bloggers event at The Body Shop in Manchester to celebrate the release of an amazing new range on the 5th of May, including new bronzing items and a couple of vitamin C products! I was wearing my butterfly bow-tie brooch to the event and styled it with a white short sleeved shirt. It was a closed door event, so it was a good opportunity to browse all of the products and explore the new ones thoroughly! The event started at 8pm and I was one of the first ones to arrive. We were welcomed with milkshakes, fruit cocktails and lemonade. I went for water - shy and modest! There was also a white chocolate fountain and strawberries we had the chance to enjoy. The event was carried out by Fiona - she is a skin expert at the Manchester store. Everyone was able to get personal skin consult...

OOTD - The sun has come out!

It has been such a long time since my last fashion post, I've been missing them so much! The second the sun came out, Tristan and I went to the canal and took a few pictures. I think it is still too early for sunglasses but a light jacket is okay when you wear a jumper underneath (Primark) and a cosy leopard print scarf (Linea Cashmink) around your neck.  My black Veromoda jacket and shoes are both from Best Secret. You'll all know by now how much I've been raving about it. I think it is an amazing place for online shopping. I love the copper detailing and the simple look on my jacket, plus it's super lightweight. My trainers are by Puma & Alexander McQueen (click here to read my previous post). I also just noticed that I don't have any good shots of my Michael Kors bag, which I absolutely adore by the way! I'm sure everybody knows how beautiful these bags are so I think this will do for now. The bag and scarf were both Christmas presents fr...

Lilla Rose Flexi Clips

Today I want to talk a bit about my hair and my recent purchase from a company called Lilla Rose . Lilla Rose is a unique hair and jewellery accessory company from the US. They have many different hair items but I was more interested in their beautiful and well-known Flexi Clip. I got myself two of these - Autumn's Delight in size small and Festive Leaf in extra small. Before ordering I made sure of which size would fit best for my flat and thin hair.       Both of my Flexi Clips look stunning. The beaded wire is quite bendable but strong, the sliding pin is adjustable and they feel high-quality. I chose mine in a copper/rust shade but there are also silver and gold shades and so many different styles and colours available. As I recently cut my long hair short, I don't have many options with styling. I usually just wear my hair in a ponytail or a half ponytail. Autumn's Delight fits all my hair between the clip and Festive Leaf is perfect for a smal...
