My Little Cosy Box UK / November

My Little Box has finally arrived at my doorstep and they are continuing to surprise me more and more each month. This is the third box I've received since My Little Box was released in the UK and I'm yet to be disappointed by its contents

Now that there is just one month until Christmas, subscription boxes are starting to get more wintery and Christmasy. This months My Little Cosy Box is all about staying comfortable in the cold.

When I opened the box I was happy to see another greetings card painted by Kanako. I absolutely admire Kanako as an artist. At the end of her 2nd year in France she found a dream job at online magazine 'MyLittleParis' and she is now also creating these adorable illustrations for My Little Box.

The quote 'My favourite pastime is to let time go by, to have time, to take my time, to waste time, to live out of time' is by Francoise Sagan. I am definitely going to frame it and find a place for it on my table. I have read few of Sagan's books and she is an incredible writer. This card is a double win for me!

The box also included the loveliest and cutest espresso cup with a Kanako illustration on one side and a quote on the other. Inside, at the bottom of the cup, there's a little surprise - I think it is such a great idea as you would definitely feel 'happy' after finishing your favourite hot drink.

Tsumori Chisato is the name of a huge Japanese fashion designer whose universe is inspired by dreams. Her last dream was inspired by a hot water bottle so she designed a little something for My Little Box. It is this red and white dotty cushion - perfect to keep warm this winter. Sadly, I do not have a microwave but I might still hold onto this just in case.

As always there are three beauty products inside a lovely drawstring bag.

Essie Cute As A Button Nail Polish - 5ml, RRP £7.99
My first Essie nail polish! I have always thought of trying them but I have never been tempted enough to actually buy one. Now, thanks to My Little Box I have a chance to finally try it on my nails. I am a big fan of reds so the colour is not a problem for me at all. It has a rosy shade, awakened by a hint of coral and it is the brands best seller - what else I could ask for! I think it is nice to show some brightness on cold winter days.

Mascara Soin Et Volume - 9ml, RRP £16
This mascara is from their own My Little Beauty collection. I am really pleased with their My Little Beauty Micellar Water I got from the October Box so I am interested in how this will work out. It is a volumising mascara with hint of beeswax, jojoba and sesame oil.

Starliner Black Wateproof Eyeliner by Arcancil - RRP £5.50
I think waterproof eyeliners are essential in seasons like this. Rainy autumn and snowy winter can ruin eye make-up easily, so the waterproof formula won't let anyone down! I hate when my eyes get smudgy and messy because of the weather so I'd be happy to use this Arcancil eyeliner this season! I got an amazing tip from my mum today - for really soft/creamy pencils like this one, it is good to put them in the refrigerator or freezer for a couple of minutes to harden. It makes them so much easier to sharpen and helps to minimise waste!

The box also included a My Little World Magazine filled with hair tutorials, beauty tips, recipes, DIY projects and inspiring pictures.

Overall I am really happy with My Little Box - I can see how much effort has been put into it. Everything is of a high quality and is carefully thought out. For £11 + P&P I think it is more than worth it. It felt like an early Christmas present!

Glossybox - Iconic Hollywood Edition

This month Glossybox takes us a step back in time and worships Hollywood beauty royalty. There are four collector's edition boxes with different coloured bottoms and a Marilyn Monroe print on the cover. My box is a mint green and looking very pretty - definitely worth keeping. The box contains 5 beauty products - 3 of them full size. The products are inspired by the silver screen stars whose elegant and timeless beauty is still as relevant as it was then. The Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil and POP Beauty Kajal Eyelines Pen are both essential to achieve a time-honoured look - a red lip and feline flick. Eyes and lips are the windows to the soul - when I am doing my make up, I like to concentrate on them the most. I am glad Glossybox chose these classic staples for this month. Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil in Kiss is the perfect Marilyn red. It's in pencil form which makes the application really easy and because it has the matte finish, it can be glosse

4 Days in Rome / Day 2 More sightseeing and tours

We planned for Monday to be our main sightseeing day. The morning was started with breakfast at our hotel before we left at 10am. A bus to the city centre took us just 10 minutes - €1.20 for one way ticket. Our first stop was at Piazza Venezia, a major circus and known as the central hub of Rome. The majority of Rome's popular tourist attractions are easily accessible from here and are within walking distance. The Altare della Patria (Altar of the Fatherland) caught my eye and we decided to see it up close. This monument was built in 1925 in honour of King Victor Emmanuel, making it quite a new attraction compared to the rest of the Rome and its architecture.   From the top of the building you can see a 360 degree view of Rome. A ticket to the top costs €7 but you can stay on the roof as long as you like!    Our next stop was Santa Maria in Aracoeli , another beautiful Catholic church with a monumental staircase. While you can see the Col

Jewellery box

It is time to take a look inside my jewellery box! I don't wear many accessories during the winter. Why? Maybe because I am all wrapped up and it can be so annoying when earrings, necklaces, bracelets and so on get caught on the extra clothes. But now that spring has arrived, it is time to take all of my accessories out and start wearing them!     I had actually forgotten how much I had in this box - it was such a surprise. It felt like I had just bought them again! I found loads of hair clips and hairbands, which were all ordered from eBay. I don't think I have paid over £5 for any one of them (postage and packing included). They came from China and like everybody knows, it takes about a month for them to arrive!   This peacock hair clip is my favourite. I have worn it a couple of times and I can't really complain about the quality. It actually looks like it is worth a bit more than the £2 I paid.     I love these two hair clips. Th
