Glossybox: Karen Millen Edition

This month is all about London Fashion Week, so Glossybox have released a limited edition box in collaboration with Karen Millen. Printed with a London skyline sketch by Karen Millen's in-house illustrator, the box contains several full and sample size beauty products.

Inside, there are 2 full size and 6 sample size products.

L'Oréal Professionnel Mythic Masque - Full size £15.50 for 200 ml, mine is 75ml.
L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Masque is perfect for damaged, coloured hair and for very dry ends. This masque leaves hair feeling soft, supple and brilliantly shiny. It contains Argan Oil, which is rich in Vitamin E and Omega 3 oils, making it easy for hair to absorb. It also contains Cotton Seed Oil, which is naturally light in weight and adds finished nourishment and extreme softness. It should be applied to towel-dried hair and left on for 3 minutes before rinsing. Paraben-free and suitable for all hair types.

Vichy Normaderm Night Detox - Full size £15.50 for 40ml, mine is a sample size 3ml.
This product is perfect for people with oily and blemish prone skin, who suffer from an over production of sebum during the night. By morning, the skin can feel dirty and dull with additional blemishes. This cream targets the skin by helping to control the production of sebum while purifying the skin. It should be applied nightly to clean, dry skin. Lately I have been quite interested in Vichy products and really wanted to try them out. This little sample size is really good for testing as there is enough of the product for at least a couple of nights.

Vichy Hydrating Care - Full size £12 for 50ml, mine is a sample size 3ml.

Normaderm Hydrating Care is for oily skin - it provides complete care and transforms 6 imperfection concerns: blemishes, pores, shine, oily skin, marks and uneven complexion. This new formula is enriched with LHA + Salicylic Acid + Glycolic Acid to help reduce the appearance of imperfections, revealing a complexion that looks healthier and more even. This product seems to be like a skincare hero, so I will test it out!

Nails inc Westminster Bridge Matte Top Coat - Full size £12 for 10ml.

I was really excited when I saw this nail polish as I am a big Nails inc. fan! I love their products and I am sure this top coat won't be a disappointment! I am also really happy to expand my nail polish collection with this matte look.

ModelCo More Brows Fibre Gel - Full size £14.95 for 3.5ml.

ModelCo More Brows is an eyebrow mascara that helps to create fuller, thicker brows. The brush-on fibre gel gives the illusion of brows. The water-resistant, long-lasting formula builds easily without flaking or fading. It features a tapered brush that allows for precision blending and shaping, ensuing a natural finish. I'm not sure this is the right product for me, as it is a light/medium shade - my eyebrows are naturally quite dark. I will still give it a try, as I was disappointed in the So Susan brow powder in one of my previous boxes and think that gel might work better for me.

Skin Pep Enzyme and Acid Peel and Dark Circle Eraser

This peeling gel contains extracts of Pineapple and Papaya and is also combined with Alpha Hydroxy Acids(AHAs), Glycolic acid and Lactic acid, to create a highly effective, yet gentle peeling gel. It should be used twice per week to leave exfoliated, soft, bright and beautiful skin. Full size £89.99 for 180ml, mine is a sample size of 3.5ml.

Dark Circle Eraser is formulated to restore lost moisture, support collagen integrity and activate blood circulation. It contains seaweed, grape seed, red ginseng, green tea to protect your skin from the damaging effects of free radicals and support the health of blood vessels. Full size £44.99 for 15ml, mine is a sample size of 2ml.

I quite liked the September Glossybox. I have heard about all of these brands but am still very excited to try them out as the products themselves are new to me. I think the box was the winner this month - it is a beautifully designed piece!

The Body Shop Manchester Arndale Bloggers Event

I've been blogging for almost two years now but I'd still consider myself a newbie in the blogging world. On Thursday I had the chance to go to my first bloggers event at The Body Shop in Manchester to celebrate the release of an amazing new range on the 5th of May, including new bronzing items and a couple of vitamin C products! I was wearing my butterfly bow-tie brooch to the event and styled it with a white short sleeved shirt. It was a closed door event, so it was a good opportunity to browse all of the products and explore the new ones thoroughly! The event started at 8pm and I was one of the first ones to arrive. We were welcomed with milkshakes, fruit cocktails and lemonade. I went for water - shy and modest! There was also a white chocolate fountain and strawberries we had the chance to enjoy. The event was carried out by Fiona - she is a skin expert at the Manchester store. Everyone was able to get personal skin consult...

Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide - Starting again

The last time I posted about my workout regime was in November last year when I started the Kayla Itsines BBG healthy eating plan and 12 week workout sessions. I think I got up to week 4 before I lost my motivation because of illness and Christmas. My friend Marianne and I started BBG again on the 5th of January with thousands of other girls and joined #thekaylamovement and #kaylasarmy to share our journey along this painful but exciting path.  You can read my first post about the BBG programme here as I am explaining a bit more on how I 'found' Kayla and how the training works.  I have done BBG for 5 weeks now (the first 2 weeks we did pre-training) and I'm feeling quite positive. I've not seen much progress myself - I still have my weak areas like tummy, bum and thighs. I do feel much stronger though! I'm doing all of the workouts properly, I have strength in my legs and arms - it is quite easy to do 10 push ups and continue with triceps and mountain clim...

OOTD - The sun has come out!

It has been such a long time since my last fashion post, I've been missing them so much! The second the sun came out, Tristan and I went to the canal and took a few pictures. I think it is still too early for sunglasses but a light jacket is okay when you wear a jumper underneath (Primark) and a cosy leopard print scarf (Linea Cashmink) around your neck.  My black Veromoda jacket and shoes are both from Best Secret. You'll all know by now how much I've been raving about it. I think it is an amazing place for online shopping. I love the copper detailing and the simple look on my jacket, plus it's super lightweight. My trainers are by Puma & Alexander McQueen (click here to read my previous post). I also just noticed that I don't have any good shots of my Michael Kors bag, which I absolutely adore by the way! I'm sure everybody knows how beautiful these bags are so I think this will do for now. The bag and scarf were both Christmas presents fr...
