Glossybox - Summer is Here

This month's Glossybox arrived a couple of days ago and I've finally had the time to write a short review on the amazing products the Glossybox team hid inside. 'Summer is Here' is June's box theme and these 5 products complement each other perfectly.

I am going to start with my favourite from the box - So Susan Cosmetics Concealer Quad - RRP £20

It is brand new to me and I think the brand itself is quite young too - founded in 2012 by Susan Chyi. This concealer is formulated with virgin marula oil and it can be used to cover minor blemishes and imperfections. Its lightweight formula makes it ideal for summer. It blends in perfectly and very easily.

I also bought myself their Universal Blush, which I saw some people receiving in their Glossybox. My friend was one of the lucky ones and I just fell in love with this natural blush and had to get it myself.

The next one is a new launch from nailgirls 3-in-1 base, topcoat and nail strengthener - RRP £13.50 for 15ml

I am loving nail hardeners at the moment. I just finished my Nails Inc clear nail polish and was really happy to find a new one in the box!

A few days ago I made a little Avon order for some new eye shadows and was also thinking of getting new brushes - I think I know now which ones to go for - Teeez Trend Cosmetics Beautiful Flat Still Brush - RRP €19 around £15

This make-up brush is essential for my kit. It is a good quality brush, which allows me to apply powder and cream eye shadow with ease. I also like how summery it looks. Beautiful!

The next item is from French brand Roger&Gallet. Their Fleur de Figuier Eau Fraiche Fragrance has a lovely fresh fruit-floral smell. I would wear it more as a casual going-to-town-perfume and leave my other favourite scents (Dior, Viktor&Rolf) for evening events. This is a 10ml sample, 100ml is £32.

And lastly we come to Emballeze Novex Brazilian Keratin - RRP £24.99 for 1kg, mine is a sample size 100g.

This vitamin E enriched treatment replenishes essential hair proteins, resulting in shinier and smoother hair. I think I have to take a day off to try this keratin treatment on my hair. Hair needs to be washed and dried, the deep conditioning treatment applied and massaged afterwards and then leaving it to develop for 15 minutes, before again showering and rinsing well - finally in the end drying with a hair dryer. I will definitely try it in the future. It is perfect hair food for bringing back health and shine after spending lots of time in the sun.

I just love this month's Glossybox. It is absolutely worth my £10 and as I read from the Glossy magazine (a little spoiler for people considering subscribing) next month will be an exciting one with a limited edition box print and theme! Can't wait!

The Body Shop Manchester Arndale Bloggers Event

I've been blogging for almost two years now but I'd still consider myself a newbie in the blogging world. On Thursday I had the chance to go to my first bloggers event at The Body Shop in Manchester to celebrate the release of an amazing new range on the 5th of May, including new bronzing items and a couple of vitamin C products! I was wearing my butterfly bow-tie brooch to the event and styled it with a white short sleeved shirt. It was a closed door event, so it was a good opportunity to browse all of the products and explore the new ones thoroughly! The event started at 8pm and I was one of the first ones to arrive. We were welcomed with milkshakes, fruit cocktails and lemonade. I went for water - shy and modest! There was also a white chocolate fountain and strawberries we had the chance to enjoy. The event was carried out by Fiona - she is a skin expert at the Manchester store. Everyone was able to get personal skin consult...

Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide - Starting again

The last time I posted about my workout regime was in November last year when I started the Kayla Itsines BBG healthy eating plan and 12 week workout sessions. I think I got up to week 4 before I lost my motivation because of illness and Christmas. My friend Marianne and I started BBG again on the 5th of January with thousands of other girls and joined #thekaylamovement and #kaylasarmy to share our journey along this painful but exciting path.  You can read my first post about the BBG programme here as I am explaining a bit more on how I 'found' Kayla and how the training works.  I have done BBG for 5 weeks now (the first 2 weeks we did pre-training) and I'm feeling quite positive. I've not seen much progress myself - I still have my weak areas like tummy, bum and thighs. I do feel much stronger though! I'm doing all of the workouts properly, I have strength in my legs and arms - it is quite easy to do 10 push ups and continue with triceps and mountain clim...

OOTD - The sun has come out!

It has been such a long time since my last fashion post, I've been missing them so much! The second the sun came out, Tristan and I went to the canal and took a few pictures. I think it is still too early for sunglasses but a light jacket is okay when you wear a jumper underneath (Primark) and a cosy leopard print scarf (Linea Cashmink) around your neck.  My black Veromoda jacket and shoes are both from Best Secret. You'll all know by now how much I've been raving about it. I think it is an amazing place for online shopping. I love the copper detailing and the simple look on my jacket, plus it's super lightweight. My trainers are by Puma & Alexander McQueen (click here to read my previous post). I also just noticed that I don't have any good shots of my Michael Kors bag, which I absolutely adore by the way! I'm sure everybody knows how beautiful these bags are so I think this will do for now. The bag and scarf were both Christmas presents fr...
