Birchbox - Global Strikers

This month's theme is Brazil. As a certain football tournament is kicking off in Brazil, Birchbox decided to take inspiration from the World Cup and relate some of the products with the event.

Inside there are 6 products - one of them is a non beauty related, Brazil-inspired flip-flop keyring.

Beautyblender + Blendercleanser Solid - £16

An egg shaped make-up sponge to ensure a flawless base. Plus a solid soap to clean it. I do not have a much experience with make-up sponges but basically this is how it goes: wet sponge, squeeze out water, dot into foundation, stipple over the skin. To clean: wet it, stroke across the soap, lather, rinse in warm water, air dry. I have been always using my fingers, foundation goes soft and melty and is much better to apply to the skin. I am excited to try it out anyway!

Caudalie Divine Oil - £18

A delicately fragranced dry oil that sinks in fast, hydrates skin and leaves a silky sheen. This oil includes patented antioxidant grape-seed polyphenols and exotic oils- grape, hibiscus, sesame and argan - to moisturise and protect. It can be applied to the face, limbs, nails and hair. Rub a few drops between the palms of your hands and smooth it all over the body. I think I've already mentioned a thousand times how much I love oils.

Yves Rocher Sheer Botanical Lipstick - £9.90

A sheer, glossy lipstick infused with moisturising cherry oil to leave lips lusciously soft. I have already used it and it is a nice pink colour with non-drying elements, leaves lips soft, comfortable and extremely creamy.

OPI Nail Lacquer The Brazil Collection - £11.95

Inspired by Brazil's tropical rainforests and sandy beaches. A cute mini polish with cheery colour and perfect to match the sunny weather.

Coola Classic Face SPF30 Cucumber - £26

This is a small sample size sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun's harsh rays with cucumber-scented SPF for face. Bonus - no white residue! It can be applied over the face and neck after moisturiser and before make-up or even used alone.

And here is the lovely Havaianas-inspired keyring.

I love these little cards Birchbox added to the box. They are full of tips, ideas and encouragement.

The Body Shop Manchester Arndale Bloggers Event

I've been blogging for almost two years now but I'd still consider myself a newbie in the blogging world. On Thursday I had the chance to go to my first bloggers event at The Body Shop in Manchester to celebrate the release of an amazing new range on the 5th of May, including new bronzing items and a couple of vitamin C products! I was wearing my butterfly bow-tie brooch to the event and styled it with a white short sleeved shirt. It was a closed door event, so it was a good opportunity to browse all of the products and explore the new ones thoroughly! The event started at 8pm and I was one of the first ones to arrive. We were welcomed with milkshakes, fruit cocktails and lemonade. I went for water - shy and modest! There was also a white chocolate fountain and strawberries we had the chance to enjoy. The event was carried out by Fiona - she is a skin expert at the Manchester store. Everyone was able to get personal skin consult...

Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide - Starting again

The last time I posted about my workout regime was in November last year when I started the Kayla Itsines BBG healthy eating plan and 12 week workout sessions. I think I got up to week 4 before I lost my motivation because of illness and Christmas. My friend Marianne and I started BBG again on the 5th of January with thousands of other girls and joined #thekaylamovement and #kaylasarmy to share our journey along this painful but exciting path.  You can read my first post about the BBG programme here as I am explaining a bit more on how I 'found' Kayla and how the training works.  I have done BBG for 5 weeks now (the first 2 weeks we did pre-training) and I'm feeling quite positive. I've not seen much progress myself - I still have my weak areas like tummy, bum and thighs. I do feel much stronger though! I'm doing all of the workouts properly, I have strength in my legs and arms - it is quite easy to do 10 push ups and continue with triceps and mountain clim...

OOTD - The sun has come out!

It has been such a long time since my last fashion post, I've been missing them so much! The second the sun came out, Tristan and I went to the canal and took a few pictures. I think it is still too early for sunglasses but a light jacket is okay when you wear a jumper underneath (Primark) and a cosy leopard print scarf (Linea Cashmink) around your neck.  My black Veromoda jacket and shoes are both from Best Secret. You'll all know by now how much I've been raving about it. I think it is an amazing place for online shopping. I love the copper detailing and the simple look on my jacket, plus it's super lightweight. My trainers are by Puma & Alexander McQueen (click here to read my previous post). I also just noticed that I don't have any good shots of my Michael Kors bag, which I absolutely adore by the way! I'm sure everybody knows how beautiful these bags are so I think this will do for now. The bag and scarf were both Christmas presents fr...
