Birchbox - Global Strikers

This month's theme is Brazil. As a certain football tournament is kicking off in Brazil, Birchbox decided to take inspiration from the World Cup and relate some of the products with the event. Inside there are 6 products - one of them is a non beauty related, Brazil-inspired flip-flop keyring. Beautyblender + Blendercleanser Solid - £16  An egg shaped make-up sponge to ensure a flawless base. Plus a solid soap to clean it. I do not have a much experience with make-up sponges but basically this is how it goes: wet sponge, squeeze out water, dot into foundation, stipple over the skin. To clean: wet it, stroke across the soap, lather, rinse in warm water, air dry. I have been always using my fingers, foundation goes soft and melty and is much better to apply to the skin. I am excited to try it out anyway! Caudalie Divine Oil - £18 A delicately fragranced dry oil that sinks in fast, hydrates skin and leaves a silky sheen. This oil includes patented antio...

May Birchbox - Great Outdoors

Harper's Bazaar have teamed up with Birchbox to create this exclusive collection for this month's beauty box. I love the look from the outside - totally fashionista! Inside there is also a beauty guide which includes insider product tips from Harper's Bazaar beauty director Sophie Bloomfield. I opened the box with great expectations and I didn't need to be disappointed. Liz Earle Beauty Co. Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser - From £13.25  The creamy botanical based cleanser combines moisturising cocoa butter, eucalyptus essential oil and rosemary. This cleanser lifts make-up and dirt off the skin's surface without over drying. It also comes with a 100% cotton muslin cloth which helps buff away dead cells for extra glowy skin. It is award winning and is for all skin types. It can be used morning and evening. This is a sample size - 30 ml. Benefit Cosmetics They're real! Mascara - £19.50 This mascara adds both volume and length ...

Birchbox UK April 2014

Birchbox time! This month's theme is inspired by local food markets, the kitchen and all of our favourite eateries. These samples feature delicious scents and foodie elements.  I was waiting for this month's box with huge excitement and when it arrived I was equally happy and disappointed. I was looking forward to discover the TommyGuns Pomegranate shampoo in the April box but unluckily I don't think my profile met the criteria. Anyway, I am glad at least to have been given the option to choose a nail polish colour that I liked most (out of the 4 Birchbox was offering this month). I chose a beautiful pearly green colour and couldn't wait to try it on my nails. Campos De Ibiza Almendra Body Milk - Mine is a sample size 38ml. RRP £16.55. I get never tired of a box when there is a body milk inside. I love to try different moisturisers. Luckily my skin is not very sensitive (except for my face) and I can use different brands and different lotions, body milks,...

Birchbox UK March 2014

My boyfriend gave me a lovely present and got me a 3 month Birchbox subscription. Box from the outside is cute and small and has this simple earthy look. Inside there are usually 5 - 6 sample/full size products. First one is Beauty Protector Protect & Oil - RRP £16 (4 oz, it is about 110ml). Mine is a sample size product in a cute little glass bottle, which I love! This protecting oil is for hair, to keep it healthy, shiny and happy. It guards your hair from UV rays and heat, at the same time smoothing and repairing. 1 - 3 drops into damp hair or dry ends should work well for all hair types! I am a big oil fan. I like all kinds of oils for my hair, face and body. If it works well and I like it, I would definitely consider buying a bigger bottle! At the moment I am using L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinari Oil, which leaves my hair a bit too heavy and greasy. Gilchrist & Soames The London Collection Shower Gel - RRP £13.75 (8 oz, 236ml). Mine is a sample siz...
