Glossybox UK April - Sweet Treats

It is April and time to open this month's Glossybox. I got it already on Monday, which is really early as I was expecting it to arrive at the end of the week.

In the box were 5 products. A few of the brands were already familiar to me.

TRESemme Instant Refresh Cleansing Dry Shampoo - £4.99 for 200ml. Mine is a travel size product (100ml). I have heard of dry shampoos but have never tried one. It absorbs oil for instantly revived hair with an added touch of volume. Before using, shake can vigorously before taking sections of hair spray from roots outwards.

MeMeMe Cosmetics Beat the blues - Pearl Pink - Full size product, £5.50 for 12ml. This is a multi-use product which can be applied straight onto the cheekbones for highlighting or can be mixed into foundation for a more subtle shimmer. It gives a natural glow and look.

Monu Spa Warming Ginger Massage & Body Oil - Full size £26 for 100ml. Mine is a sample size 30ml, which is pretty good for trying this product out. Monu Spa is British brand making a range of luxurious natural body care spa products for skin, hair and hands/feet. Again it is also a multi-use product. A small amount can be added to a warm bath or massaged into the skin before having bath or shower. It leaves skin silky smooth and thoroughly nourished and pampered. Its uplifting aromas refresh the senses and relax aching muscles. Calendula, Jojoba Seed Oil and Vitamins A and E deliver all you need to gently restore natural softness to skin.

SunSense UK Daily Face SPF 50+ - Full size £20.99 for 75g. Mine is a small sample size (10g). This is a daily face and neck product to protect your skin from harmful UV rays, not only in summer but all year round. It has an oil-free base, which is ideal for combination and oily skin types. One teaspoon 15 minutes before going outdoors should help for sun protection. This is an Australian brand, marketed by Ego Pharmaceuticals. It seems like Glossybox knows me very well, as I am having a holiday in Australia later this year. I will probably try this out before my trip and if my skin likes it, I can always buy a larger tube locally when I'm there.

And the last one - Emite Make Up Lip Brush - L312 - £17. It is from a Swedish make up brand which makes a range products as well as make up tools. I am very happy about this lip brush, as I was thinking of buying one but always kept putting it off.

Overall I am very satisfied with this month's Glossybox, I like all of the the products and for the first time I will use/try each one of them. I am on the monthly subscription and paying £10 + postage & packing and I can say it is definitely worth my money! It is also good that I can cancel any time I am getting tired or bored of the box. I am looking forward to May!

The Body Shop Manchester Arndale Bloggers Event

I've been blogging for almost two years now but I'd still consider myself a newbie in the blogging world. On Thursday I had the chance to go to my first bloggers event at The Body Shop in Manchester to celebrate the release of an amazing new range on the 5th of May, including new bronzing items and a couple of vitamin C products! I was wearing my butterfly bow-tie brooch to the event and styled it with a white short sleeved shirt. It was a closed door event, so it was a good opportunity to browse all of the products and explore the new ones thoroughly! The event started at 8pm and I was one of the first ones to arrive. We were welcomed with milkshakes, fruit cocktails and lemonade. I went for water - shy and modest! There was also a white chocolate fountain and strawberries we had the chance to enjoy. The event was carried out by Fiona - she is a skin expert at the Manchester store. Everyone was able to get personal skin consult...

Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide - Starting again

The last time I posted about my workout regime was in November last year when I started the Kayla Itsines BBG healthy eating plan and 12 week workout sessions. I think I got up to week 4 before I lost my motivation because of illness and Christmas. My friend Marianne and I started BBG again on the 5th of January with thousands of other girls and joined #thekaylamovement and #kaylasarmy to share our journey along this painful but exciting path.  You can read my first post about the BBG programme here as I am explaining a bit more on how I 'found' Kayla and how the training works.  I have done BBG for 5 weeks now (the first 2 weeks we did pre-training) and I'm feeling quite positive. I've not seen much progress myself - I still have my weak areas like tummy, bum and thighs. I do feel much stronger though! I'm doing all of the workouts properly, I have strength in my legs and arms - it is quite easy to do 10 push ups and continue with triceps and mountain clim...

OOTD - The sun has come out!

It has been such a long time since my last fashion post, I've been missing them so much! The second the sun came out, Tristan and I went to the canal and took a few pictures. I think it is still too early for sunglasses but a light jacket is okay when you wear a jumper underneath (Primark) and a cosy leopard print scarf (Linea Cashmink) around your neck.  My black Veromoda jacket and shoes are both from Best Secret. You'll all know by now how much I've been raving about it. I think it is an amazing place for online shopping. I love the copper detailing and the simple look on my jacket, plus it's super lightweight. My trainers are by Puma & Alexander McQueen (click here to read my previous post). I also just noticed that I don't have any good shots of my Michael Kors bag, which I absolutely adore by the way! I'm sure everybody knows how beautiful these bags are so I think this will do for now. The bag and scarf were both Christmas presents fr...
