April International Degustabox

Tristan and I recently signed up with Degustabox. Degustabox is a monthly subscription service including 9 to 14 food and drink products - many of them are completely new! It costs £12.99 (+ postage) and is a great way to discover new goodies. We love surprises and food so this is a box we can both enjoy.

The box was due to arrive at the end of April but we rescheduled the delivery for Saturday, which ended up being in May! This month had a theme - International. I don't think they do it every month, so it was a good time for us to have subscribed.

Cirio Supercirio Double Concentrated Tomato Puree Pots (£1.20) and Tomato Fillets (£1.69) are made from Italian tomatoes. These little tomato paste pots are my kitchen cupboard essentials. I could use them on a home made pizza, make tomato sauce for pasta or try a new dish which has been on my mind for a while now - Ukrainian/Russian plov (pilaf).

Veetee Spicy Mexican Style Rice and Peri Peri Rice, £1.49 each. These are large packets (280g) of flavoured microwaveable rice, which can be used in a stir-fry, eaten as a side dish or for a snack. The brand is available in major supermarkets so it will be really easy to re-purchase.

Nando's Groove Cut Potato Chips, £0.69 each. Tristan and I have never had Nando's before but we have cooked our own Peri-Peri chicken. We have thought of going a couple of times but have always ended up changing our plans. Out of these crisps, Sizzling Hot was our favourite.

Schwartz Korma Curry Mix, £1.08. Indian food? Oh, yes! I am not a fan of recipe mixes lately, I prefer to make my own food. If I am ever in a hurry though these will come in handy!

Lindt Assorted Mini Eggs, £2. I love chocolate and Lindt is one of my favourite brands. These creamy eggs are so delicious that I could eat a whole packet in one sitting! The blue eggs (dark chocolate) are my favourites, Tristan prefers the yellow eggs (white chocolate).

DeBeukelaer Cookies Bakery from the US (£2.00) and Barry's Tea from Ireland (£1.75) are such a perfect combo. I am definitely a cookie girl and I love a good fresh tea!

Inspired by traditional family bakeries in Greenwich Village, New York, these DeBeukaler Cookies just changed my life forever! I love this ''individually wrapped in old newspaper'' look and the cookies themselves are tasty, crispy and full of chocolate.

Kinder Choco-Bons (£1.55) and Kinder Chocolate with Cereals (£1.55) both have a milky filling and a chocolate coating. The last time Tristan and I visited Estonia, we saw a big selection of Kinder chocolate in a supermarket and these Choco-Bons caught our eye immediately. We bought and finished them the same day. We were both surprised and happy to see the same old Choco-Bons in Degustabox this month. They have crunchy hazelnut pieces in the middle so I am surprised Tristan actually liked them - he is very picky with nuts. Kinder Chocolate with Cereals contain 5 different toasted crunchy cereals and are individually wrapped, which make them easy to pop into a handbag for a quick snack.

IdrinQ Energy Drink, £1.49 each. I don't like energy drinks but I gave this one a go, only because Tristan opened a can and couldn't even finish the first sip. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. It contains vitamins and promises to make you 'smarter' but I think it's bullshit.

Kingfisher Lager Beer is India's number 1 selling beer at £2.00 a bottle. I'm not a beer drinker, so this is Tristan's cup of tea. I am more interested in the Scheckters Organic Energy Drink from South Africa. It's filled with natural ingredients - organic raw cane sugar, lemon juice, pomegranate juice, elderberry juice, ginseng, green tea and raw green coffee been extract. It
doesn't contain toxic chemicals, synthetic caffeine and has no artificial sweeteners, colours, flavours and preservatives. This drink costs £1.35 a can. A big yes from me!

Overall, we were happy with our first Degustabox and we will give it another try!

Esimene trimester ehk esimesed kolm kuud \\ beebi number 2

Minu lemmikud tooted - Austraalia eri

Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide - Starting again

The last time I posted about my workout regime was in November last year when I started the Kayla Itsines BBG healthy eating plan and 12 week workout sessions. I think I got up to week 4 before I lost my motivation because of illness and Christmas. My friend Marianne and I started BBG again on the 5th of January with thousands of other girls and joined #thekaylamovement and #kaylasarmy to share our journey along this painful but exciting path.  You can read my first post about the BBG programme here as I am explaining a bit more on how I 'found' Kayla and how the training works.  I have done BBG for 5 weeks now (the first 2 weeks we did pre-training) and I'm feeling quite positive. I've not seen much progress myself - I still have my weak areas like tummy, bum and thighs. I do feel much stronger though! I'm doing all of the workouts properly, I have strength in my legs and arms - it is quite easy to do 10 push ups and continue with triceps and mountain clim...
