A fun day at the lake

Tristan and I finally had finally a weekend together after so many weeks of working. We decided to enjoy the English countryside and took a train to Smithy Bridge, which is about a 20 minute train journey from Manchester. It is a really nice hilly area with a beautiful lake, cute houses and little shops.

It was a nice warm and sunny day so I wanted to wear something really light. I got this dress from Sheinside. It is first time I am wearing it, even though I bought it back in February. It is such a lovely printed dress and is absolutely amazing for this kind of weather. I am wearing this dress quite loosely, as you can make it more tight or loose in the middle.

I am waiting on another order from Sheinside and I will definitely make a haul post of the items I get. They are mainly for summer, so it's exciting and hopefully I have a chance to wear them as well.

And here are some of the pictures of what this place looks like! I love the boats and the fun atmosphere. At the centre is Hollingworth Lake, which I was surprised to learn has not always been there! It is man made, built as a main water source for Rochdale Canal. With huge help from the railway, Smithy Bridge developed as a big tourist attraction. And it certainly still is.

And here is my new friend Zeus.

Typical England. At least once a day you see a horse. As transport.

And here we are, modelling our Ray Ban sunglasses.

The Body Shop Manchester Arndale Bloggers Event

I've been blogging for almost two years now but I'd still consider myself a newbie in the blogging world. On Thursday I had the chance to go to my first bloggers event at The Body Shop in Manchester to celebrate the release of an amazing new range on the 5th of May, including new bronzing items and a couple of vitamin C products! I was wearing my butterfly bow-tie brooch to the event and styled it with a white short sleeved shirt. It was a closed door event, so it was a good opportunity to browse all of the products and explore the new ones thoroughly! The event started at 8pm and I was one of the first ones to arrive. We were welcomed with milkshakes, fruit cocktails and lemonade. I went for water - shy and modest! There was also a white chocolate fountain and strawberries we had the chance to enjoy. The event was carried out by Fiona - she is a skin expert at the Manchester store. Everyone was able to get personal skin consult...

OOTD - The sun has come out!

It has been such a long time since my last fashion post, I've been missing them so much! The second the sun came out, Tristan and I went to the canal and took a few pictures. I think it is still too early for sunglasses but a light jacket is okay when you wear a jumper underneath (Primark) and a cosy leopard print scarf (Linea Cashmink) around your neck.  My black Veromoda jacket and shoes are both from Best Secret. You'll all know by now how much I've been raving about it. I think it is an amazing place for online shopping. I love the copper detailing and the simple look on my jacket, plus it's super lightweight. My trainers are by Puma & Alexander McQueen (click here to read my previous post). I also just noticed that I don't have any good shots of my Michael Kors bag, which I absolutely adore by the way! I'm sure everybody knows how beautiful these bags are so I think this will do for now. The bag and scarf were both Christmas presents fr...

Lilla Rose Flexi Clips

Today I want to talk a bit about my hair and my recent purchase from a company called Lilla Rose . Lilla Rose is a unique hair and jewellery accessory company from the US. They have many different hair items but I was more interested in their beautiful and well-known Flexi Clip. I got myself two of these - Autumn's Delight in size small and Festive Leaf in extra small. Before ordering I made sure of which size would fit best for my flat and thin hair.       Both of my Flexi Clips look stunning. The beaded wire is quite bendable but strong, the sliding pin is adjustable and they feel high-quality. I chose mine in a copper/rust shade but there are also silver and gold shades and so many different styles and colours available. As I recently cut my long hair short, I don't have many options with styling. I usually just wear my hair in a ponytail or a half ponytail. Autumn's Delight fits all my hair between the clip and Festive Leaf is perfect for a smal...
