A day out in MCR

Tristan and I had a late breakfast in the Northern Quarter at a place called Teacup Kitchen. As the name already gives away there is a large variety of tea but there are also coffees, cakes and so much more! We both started our day with a little bit of sugar - Hearty Scone. It is a classic English scone (a single-serving cake or quick bread). I have never had a scone before but the taste and texture reminded me of something similar I've had before. It was lightly sweetened but it came with an extra dosage - a pot of clotted cream and strawberry jam.   After some food we walked around the shopping centre and I had to try on some of the sunglasses. TKMaxx had a good section of Vera Wang designs. Luckily I was able to control myself and not buy any! They were fairly cheap though, around £30 (RRP £130)!   Cole Haan I can not remember the designer of these ones. Tristan having a rest after our window shopping. We also had a qui...

Fighting with the rain

This is me wearing quite light clothes, even if it is raining every 30 minutes and it is only 15 degrees outside. I have to stay positive and fight against the rain with my pink and light blue outfit. I just put my coat and jumpers at the bottom of my closet, as I was absolutely sure that summer had finally arrived in England and I can start to wear more dresses and skirts. Yes, now you know why Brits talk so much about weather - it is changing all the time! Anyway, Tristan and I went to visit Manchester Central Library, which opened a couple of months ago after being closed for around 4 years (from 2010-2014) for renovating and refurbishing. I don't have a picture of how it looks from the outside, as there is still some constuction work taking place and it is leaving a big mess around the library. I am wearing black animal print trousers from Zara and light blue pinstripe sailor blazer from Primark. My denim lace backpack is from SwankySwans. My two-tone (silver and gold) wat...

A fun day at the lake

Tristan and I finally had finally a weekend together after so many weeks of working. We decided to enjoy the English countryside and took a train to Smithy Bridge, which is about a 20 minute train journey from Manchester. It is a really nice hilly area with a beautiful lake, cute houses and little shops.  It was a nice warm and sunny day so I wanted to wear something really light. I got this dress from Sheinside . It is first time I am wearing it, even though I bought it back in February. It is such a lovely printed dress and is absolutely amazing for this kind of weather. I am wearing this dress quite loosely, as you can make it more tight or loose in the middle. I am waiting on another order from Sheinside and I will definitely make a haul post of the items I get. They are mainly for summer, so it's exciting and hopefully I have a chance to wear them as well.       And here are some of the pictures of what this place looks like! I love...
