Summer Wish List

Summer Wishlist

The temperature doesn't often go over 21 degrees here in Manchester but I am totally ready for Summer! I was in the mood for window shopping yesterday and found many lovely items for summer, so I've put together a wish list to show off some of my favourites.

At the moment I am loving long, flowy skirts, so this H&M Long satin skirt would be perfect for visiting a market or for walks on the beach. I also found these Maude style RAEN sunglasses which go well with the skirt pattern. Their Lunar Quartz collection is simply eyecatching. RAEN sunglasses have been my secret obsession for a while now and I am constantly stalking their Instagram page. I already have one good pair of RayBan sunglasses, so I'm not sure if I want to spend £100 on another pair.

There are never enough tops in my closet and I want to get something light and summery for when it is warmer. I've been really pleased with the shirts and tops I've ordered from Choies so far, I am tempted to get two more. I recently bought a white lace-crochety type long sleeved top which can be a bit too showy, so I think this White Sunflower Applique Lace Cami Bralet Top would be good to wear underneath. I like this cute blueish Bike Pattern Short Sleeve Cropped T-shirt too. It reminds me of Paris for some reason. This cropped t-shirt would go well with Zara Embroidered Denim Shorts I think.

Sadly, I can't add a link for these brown/bronze sandals. They sell them at Best Secret and are by TakeMe (a brand I've never heard of). A good pair of comfortable leather sandals are essential to survive the summer, so I am considering buying them!

I've been looking for a good backpack for some time now - I think I have found it. I am in love with this Suede Fringed Backpack from Zara. I love the colour, the fringed front, the drawstring and the magnetic flap closure and I love how chic but casual it looks at the same time.

The Body Shop Manchester Arndale Bloggers Event

I've been blogging for almost two years now but I'd still consider myself a newbie in the blogging world. On Thursday I had the chance to go to my first bloggers event at The Body Shop in Manchester to celebrate the release of an amazing new range on the 5th of May, including new bronzing items and a couple of vitamin C products! I was wearing my butterfly bow-tie brooch to the event and styled it with a white short sleeved shirt. It was a closed door event, so it was a good opportunity to browse all of the products and explore the new ones thoroughly! The event started at 8pm and I was one of the first ones to arrive. We were welcomed with milkshakes, fruit cocktails and lemonade. I went for water - shy and modest! There was also a white chocolate fountain and strawberries we had the chance to enjoy. The event was carried out by Fiona - she is a skin expert at the Manchester store. Everyone was able to get personal skin consult...

Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide - Starting again

The last time I posted about my workout regime was in November last year when I started the Kayla Itsines BBG healthy eating plan and 12 week workout sessions. I think I got up to week 4 before I lost my motivation because of illness and Christmas. My friend Marianne and I started BBG again on the 5th of January with thousands of other girls and joined #thekaylamovement and #kaylasarmy to share our journey along this painful but exciting path.  You can read my first post about the BBG programme here as I am explaining a bit more on how I 'found' Kayla and how the training works.  I have done BBG for 5 weeks now (the first 2 weeks we did pre-training) and I'm feeling quite positive. I've not seen much progress myself - I still have my weak areas like tummy, bum and thighs. I do feel much stronger though! I'm doing all of the workouts properly, I have strength in my legs and arms - it is quite easy to do 10 push ups and continue with triceps and mountain clim...

OOTD - The sun has come out!

It has been such a long time since my last fashion post, I've been missing them so much! The second the sun came out, Tristan and I went to the canal and took a few pictures. I think it is still too early for sunglasses but a light jacket is okay when you wear a jumper underneath (Primark) and a cosy leopard print scarf (Linea Cashmink) around your neck.  My black Veromoda jacket and shoes are both from Best Secret. You'll all know by now how much I've been raving about it. I think it is an amazing place for online shopping. I love the copper detailing and the simple look on my jacket, plus it's super lightweight. My trainers are by Puma & Alexander McQueen (click here to read my previous post). I also just noticed that I don't have any good shots of my Michael Kors bag, which I absolutely adore by the way! I'm sure everybody knows how beautiful these bags are so I think this will do for now. The bag and scarf were both Christmas presents fr...
