4 Days in Rome / Last day

Our last day in Rome was spent shopping, doing the last of our sightseeing and enjoying Italian food. We began at Via del Corso, which is a major shopping street in Rome with stores like Zara, H&M, Gap, Sephora, Kiko and Accessorize. We spent a few hours there and I managed to pick up some nice clothes and a few makeup products from Kiko.

We really wanted to check out the Pantheon before our holiday was over. It is massive from the outside. It's a beautiful strong historical building but from the inside it wasn't as impressive to me. It was busy, crowded and quite noisy although overall I did enjoy it.

Piazza Navona was the highlight of the day for me. It's a lovely square with two beautiful fountains and an Egyptian obelisk in the middle. I've seen the piazza before in Dan Brown's 2009 thriller Angels and Demons, so it was nice to recognise the place.

It was 30 degrees that day and my mint and vanilla ice cream started to melt the second I left the gelateria.

Everywhere you looked you saw a balcony decorated with plants and flowers.

Rome is such a beautiful city. There is so much to see, good food, a great atmosphere, positive and happy people and lovely hot weather. It was a great trip and I'm happy I got to write down all of my memories and share the pictures with you! I want to visit Rome again although next time I would love to see a bit more of Italy.

Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide - Starting again

The last time I posted about my workout regime was in November last year when I started the Kayla Itsines BBG healthy eating plan and 12 week workout sessions. I think I got up to week 4 before I lost my motivation because of illness and Christmas. My friend Marianne and I started BBG again on the 5th of January with thousands of other girls and joined #thekaylamovement and #kaylasarmy to share our journey along this painful but exciting path.  You can read my first post about the BBG programme here as I am explaining a bit more on how I 'found' Kayla and how the training works.  I have done BBG for 5 weeks now (the first 2 weeks we did pre-training) and I'm feeling quite positive. I've not seen much progress myself - I still have my weak areas like tummy, bum and thighs. I do feel much stronger though! I'm doing all of the workouts properly, I have strength in my legs and arms - it is quite easy to do 10 push ups and continue with triceps and mountain clim...

Esimene trimester ehk esimesed kolm kuud \\ beebi number 2

10 things to do in Rockhampton

I have still a couple more posts coming up about my Australian trip. I hope they are an interesting read! After Brisbane , we flew to Tristan's hometown Rockhampton where we spent the remaining 2 weeks of our holiday. Rockhampton is a small city in Queensland with a population of around 62,000 people. Rockhampton experiences over 300 days of sunshine each year, which means it is a good place for tourism and outdoor activities. Known as the "Beef Capital of Australia" there is much more to do than just sit in the pub and eat burgers! I have made a list of 10 things you can do around Rockhampton. 1. Rockhampton Kershaw Botanical Gardens are a well visited attraction in Rockhampton. The park has many paved walking paths, rest areas, drinking fountains and beautiful scenery with many palms and tropical flowers.   2. Quay Street in Rockhampton is full of beautiful architecture and old buildings. The city centre (main street) is not very big but I think we spent at ...
