The Christmas Tag

I saw this tag on Love from Be and I just had to do it myself! I am getting quite excited about Christmas so I thought I'd make this tag my first Christmas related blog post.

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s? 

I think I would say Home Alone. I remember it was on TV every year during Christmas. I watched it with my family and we always laughed a lot - it is funny and sweet! My second favourite is The Holiday. I think it has everything a movie needs - romance, music, a bit of comedy and an amazing cast. Of course it is a holiday film and it all happens around Christmas!

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

In Estonia we open presents on Christmas eve but as I have lived in England for 4 years now I think it is good to go with tradition this time and open them the next morning!

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?

I remember when I was a kid I used to put a slipper or sock on the window ledge and leave it there from beginning of December until Christmas. My mum told me and my brother that when we are good kids, Santa's litte helpers will bring us something nice during the night. In the morning when I woke up, first thing I would do would be to run to the window and look inside my slipper - I was super happy when I found a candy or chocolate!
4. Favourite festive food?

In Estonia the traditional Christmas meal includes pork, sauerkraut and blood sausage - I am not a big fan of any of them. In UK they eat roast turkey, which again I am not very keen on as the turkey meat is too dry for me. 
Tristan and I both love lamb (with mint jelly) and roast potato - I think this is and will be our favourite Christmas meal. 

5. Favourite Christmas gift?

 I can't choose! I have loved every single Christmas present I have got so far!

6. Favourite Christmas scent?

I like the scent of gingerbread. 
 
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
 
Tristan and I don't really have a Christmas Eve tradition. I think we just like to stay in and have a quiet evening - cook something nice for dinner, watch something on the TV and spend time together. 
When I lived at home in Estonia we always had family and friends over. Me and my mum would be busy the whole day (of course my brother and dad helped out too!) - cooking and baking, cleaning the house and setting the dinner table. In the end when everything was ready we moved to our favourite part of the evening - dressing up, getting our make up on and hair done! It was really fun and relaxing after such a busy day.

8. What tops your tree?

Nothing! We are more interested in lights and just decorating with baubles. I have already looked up some lovely DIY ideas I might use for our tree this year!

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?

I was never a very demanding kid with gifts. I was happy with everything. A box of candies totally made my day!

10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?

I love everything about Christmas - fairy lights, snow, wrapping and unwrapping the presents, Christmas markets, cooking and baking, drinking something hot and Christmassy, visiting family, warm clothes and Christmas jumpers, candles and my days off with Tristan.

    I have recently been tagged in this as well and am SO looking forward to doing it just because I love, love LOVE Christmas! :) I love your answers to these questions; I also adore the smell of gingerbread and Home Alone films are just the best at this time of year! :)

Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide - Starting again

The Body Shop Manchester Arndale Bloggers Event

I've been blogging for almost two years now but I'd still consider myself a newbie in the blogging world. On Thursday I had the chance to go to my first bloggers event at The Body Shop in Manchester to celebrate the release of an amazing new range on the 5th of May, including new bronzing items and a couple of vitamin C products! I was wearing my butterfly bow-tie brooch to the event and styled it with a white short sleeved shirt. It was a closed door event, so it was a good opportunity to browse all of the products and explore the new ones thoroughly! The event started at 8pm and I was one of the first ones to arrive. We were welcomed with milkshakes, fruit cocktails and lemonade. I went for water - shy and modest! There was also a white chocolate fountain and strawberries we had the chance to enjoy. Lilla Rose Flexi Clips

  Today I want to talk a bit about my hair and my recent purchase from a company called Lilla Rose . Lilla Rose is a unique hair and jewellery accessory company from the US. They have many different hair items but I was more interested in their beautiful and well-known Flexi Clip. I got myself two of these - Autumn's Delight in size small and Festive Leaf in extra small. Before ordering I made sure of which size would fit best for my flat and thin hair.       Both of my Flexi Clips look stunning. The beaded wire is quite bendable but strong, the sliding pin is adjustable and they feel high-quality. I chose mine in a copper/rust shade but there are also silver and gold shades and so many different styles and colours available. As I recently cut my long hair short, I don't have many options with styling. I usually just wear my hair in a ponytail or a half ponytail.
