July favourites

I have been loving July! It has been a very nice summery month and I have been enjoying it so much. Here are the products I couldn't go through the month without.

Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil - 10ml

July has been quite hot here in England and Tea tree oil is perfect for fighting against the skin problems that can come with the heat. It is a natural antiseptic and has good antifungal and antiparasitic properties. It can be applied to minor cuts, burns, abrasions, nail infections, pimples, boils, bites and stings. I have quite sensitive skin so I usually dilute it before using it directly (5 drops per 10ml). It is also very drying and for any little red spots/acne it is just perfect. I put a little drop on my finger and then rub it on the spot. As my skin is much oilier during summer time, I like using Tea tree and Manuka honey to keep it in balance.

Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm - 75 ml

Oh my god! I cannot live without this balm anymore! It moisturises, gives shine, softness and smoothness. It is very sticky at first when applied but as I rub it more into my hair, it absorbs perfectly and gives such a light hold and feeling. It easily keeps my hair in style and even gives a bit of volume to my hair. Love it!

Kenzo Flower By Kenzo Creamy Body Milk - 50ml

This body milk was one of my birthday presents from Tristan last year. It is my 'special occasions only' body milk and I think I am subconsciously saving it. It has a nice light texture but still leaves skin moisturised. For hot weather it is great as it won't leave skin too shiny or oily. The scent is light but still catches attention.

L'Oréal Paris Nude Magique CC Cream, Anti-Redness - 30 ml

This CC Cream by L'Oréal works with natural tone to help neutralise the appearance of redness. I was surprised at first, as the cream came out a light green colour but because it contains smart pigment capsules it transforms into a foundation on contact with the skin. It is very light and definitely suits a nude look (and still leaves room for a buildable coverage). It has everything I need - 5 in 1 perfecting cream: flawless coverage, perfectly even skin texture, fresh dewy glow, 24 hour hydration and SPF 20 protection.

Miss Selfridge Glitter Rings

I wear them all the time! I love this style and they just look so flattering on the fingers. I like the golden trim and how nicely it goes with blue, pink and black.

The Body Shop Manchester Arndale Bloggers Event

I've been blogging for almost two years now but I'd still consider myself a newbie in the blogging world. On Thursday I had the chance to go to my first bloggers event at The Body Shop in Manchester to celebrate the release of an amazing new range on the 5th of May, including new bronzing items and a couple of vitamin C products! I was wearing my butterfly bow-tie brooch to the event and styled it with a white short sleeved shirt. It was a closed door event, so it was a good opportunity to browse all of the products and explore the new ones thoroughly! The event started at 8pm and I was one of the first ones to arrive. We were welcomed with milkshakes, fruit cocktails and lemonade. I went for water - shy and modest! There was also a white chocolate fountain and strawberries we had the chance to enjoy. The event was carried out by Fiona - she is a skin expert at the Manchester store. Everyone was able to get personal skin consult...

Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide - Starting again

The last time I posted about my workout regime was in November last year when I started the Kayla Itsines BBG healthy eating plan and 12 week workout sessions. I think I got up to week 4 before I lost my motivation because of illness and Christmas. My friend Marianne and I started BBG again on the 5th of January with thousands of other girls and joined #thekaylamovement and #kaylasarmy to share our journey along this painful but exciting path.  You can read my first post about the BBG programme here as I am explaining a bit more on how I 'found' Kayla and how the training works.  I have done BBG for 5 weeks now (the first 2 weeks we did pre-training) and I'm feeling quite positive. I've not seen much progress myself - I still have my weak areas like tummy, bum and thighs. I do feel much stronger though! I'm doing all of the workouts properly, I have strength in my legs and arms - it is quite easy to do 10 push ups and continue with triceps and mountain clim...

OOTD - The sun has come out!

It has been such a long time since my last fashion post, I've been missing them so much! The second the sun came out, Tristan and I went to the canal and took a few pictures. I think it is still too early for sunglasses but a light jacket is okay when you wear a jumper underneath (Primark) and a cosy leopard print scarf (Linea Cashmink) around your neck.  My black Veromoda jacket and shoes are both from Best Secret. You'll all know by now how much I've been raving about it. I think it is an amazing place for online shopping. I love the copper detailing and the simple look on my jacket, plus it's super lightweight. My trainers are by Puma & Alexander McQueen (click here to read my previous post). I also just noticed that I don't have any good shots of my Michael Kors bag, which I absolutely adore by the way! I'm sure everybody knows how beautiful these bags are so I think this will do for now. The bag and scarf were both Christmas presents fr...
