L'Oreal Skin Perfection

I noticed L'Oreal Skin Pefection products in the shops already quite a while back but was not really interested, as I had my L'Oreal Youth Code Luminosity serum and moisturiser already, which did a great job. Last week I got really interested as my mum mentioned that L'Oreal had launched new products for people in their 20's to 30's. I got a bit confused as I could clearly remember the Youth Code series was already suitable for women aged 25 to 35, so I went straight to the drugstore and looked into these products a bit more. They have changed a lot and have made everyhthing so much more easy to find the most suitable product for your age and skin. I bought myself the Advanced Correcting Serum and the Correcting Day Moisturiser.

Serum always goes first: apply morning and evening alone or before using your skin perfection day moisturiser. Apply a few drops to your fingertips and massage onto your face. Avoid the eye area.

I always loved serums and L'Oreal has been my best friend for 3 years now. I have had very bad skin before, lots of dots and small scars. When I started using L’Oréal Youth Code series and especially the Luminize Serum, I saw the first improvements in just 2 weeks! Irregular skin pigmentation and redness disappeared and my skin tone was more even and healthier. Skin Perfection does the same job, no redness, no uneven skin tone. I am extremely happy that it still works the same way.

As I always had problems with pores around my nose area, I think this product came just in at the right time. It says that this serum tightens pores, though at the moment I don't see any improvement. Well, it is at least giving the appearance of smaller pores. It keeps skin moisturised and silky smooth. I love the texture, it is so light and I can barley feel anything on my skin.

I read the description online: This advanced formula acts on the 3 dimensions to help correct and improve the appearance of skin quality as if perfected. In 1 minute skin feels softer and smoothed to a silky touch. In 1 week pores appear visibly tightened. In 1 month skin looks transformed and skin looks more even with a healthy looking glow. We will see that in a month!

It is the same story with Correcting Day Moisturiser. Stress, fatigue and an unbalanced lifestyle can affect skin quality causing irregularities to appear: imperfections, enlarged pores and an uneven skin texture. Enriched with Perline-P (Perline-P is a plant complex that helps with pores, skin texture, and fine lines), the advanced formula acts on 3 dimensions (pores, tone and texture) to help correct and improve visible skin quality, as if perfected. Apply daily on a thoroughly cleansed face and neck with circular motions for optimum absorption.

The texture is very nice and light. I have quite oily skin but it works perfectly, as it leaves my face super soft and clear. Also it is really easy to apply on make up, as the cream absorbs really fast and it won't peel off.

Here is a picture of Serum. Consistency is smooth and glowy and even the colour is a bit pink.

The serum and day cream come with a nice glass bottle and they look so cute and pink. They really make your bathroom smile!

The Body Shop Manchester Arndale Bloggers Event

I've been blogging for almost two years now but I'd still consider myself a newbie in the blogging world. On Thursday I had the chance to go to my first bloggers event at The Body Shop in Manchester to celebrate the release of an amazing new range on the 5th of May, including new bronzing items and a couple of vitamin C products! I was wearing my butterfly bow-tie brooch to the event and styled it with a white short sleeved shirt. It was a closed door event, so it was a good opportunity to browse all of the products and explore the new ones thoroughly! The event started at 8pm and I was one of the first ones to arrive. We were welcomed with milkshakes, fruit cocktails and lemonade. I went for water - shy and modest! There was also a white chocolate fountain and strawberries we had the chance to enjoy. The event was carried out by Fiona - she is a skin expert at the Manchester store. Everyone was able to get personal skin consult...

Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide - Starting again

The last time I posted about my workout regime was in November last year when I started the Kayla Itsines BBG healthy eating plan and 12 week workout sessions. I think I got up to week 4 before I lost my motivation because of illness and Christmas. My friend Marianne and I started BBG again on the 5th of January with thousands of other girls and joined #thekaylamovement and #kaylasarmy to share our journey along this painful but exciting path.  You can read my first post about the BBG programme here as I am explaining a bit more on how I 'found' Kayla and how the training works.  I have done BBG for 5 weeks now (the first 2 weeks we did pre-training) and I'm feeling quite positive. I've not seen much progress myself - I still have my weak areas like tummy, bum and thighs. I do feel much stronger though! I'm doing all of the workouts properly, I have strength in my legs and arms - it is quite easy to do 10 push ups and continue with triceps and mountain clim...

OOTD - The sun has come out!

It has been such a long time since my last fashion post, I've been missing them so much! The second the sun came out, Tristan and I went to the canal and took a few pictures. I think it is still too early for sunglasses but a light jacket is okay when you wear a jumper underneath (Primark) and a cosy leopard print scarf (Linea Cashmink) around your neck.  My black Veromoda jacket and shoes are both from Best Secret. You'll all know by now how much I've been raving about it. I think it is an amazing place for online shopping. I love the copper detailing and the simple look on my jacket, plus it's super lightweight. My trainers are by Puma & Alexander McQueen (click here to read my previous post). I also just noticed that I don't have any good shots of my Michael Kors bag, which I absolutely adore by the way! I'm sure everybody knows how beautiful these bags are so I think this will do for now. The bag and scarf were both Christmas presents fr...
