Favourite foods on my diet

As I am trying to be as healthy as I can, I thought I would post a few pictures of my favourite meals and foods I enjoy the most.

I wake up before 7am every day (except weekends of course) and already at 7.20am, I am out from the door and rushing to work. As I am a very lazy person in the morning, I just don't have time for making something big (omelette, porridge, salads, etc). I usually just grab a banana or if I have time I make a quick fruit salad. Sometimes I prepare food a day beforehand, so it is quick and easy to have it in the morning. This picture illustrates my first meal of the day. I love the colours and I think it really brightens up the day!



My lunch at work is something very basic - usually just fresh salad/vegetables with rice or corn pasta and some meat.


 

Or stuffed tomatoes. My favourites! I use minced lamb.


And I drink lots of water.


 

In the evenings I love having some wraps with chicken (or lamb) and I love adding a little bit of soured cream/Greek yogurt and grated cheese (usually Mozzarella).

  

Another new favourite is quinoa (eesti keeles: Kinoa ehk Tšiili hanemalts), which is high in protein and contains all of the eight essential amino acids. Quinoa can be used in the same way as rice and is great in stuffings, pilafs, salads (quinoa tabbouleh) and breakfast cereals. My dinner is with pork, Chinese cabbage and Feta cheese.



For snacking my favourites are (at the moment) hot spicy nuts (in the picture: cashews). 


Of course I am not perfect and I am sometimes cheating but I try to stay as healthy as possible.

Morrison's fresh bakery is amazing and I absolutely love their fruit tart. It looks so yummy!



In my (healthy) diet I miss biscuits the most. Even candies can't replace this amazing crunchy biscuit feeling. At the moment I am loving these Australian dark chocolate biscuits.



Sometimes I bake. I love poppyseeds and I love cupcakes. Here I added 1 lemon (grated skin + juice) and skipped the icing.

The Body Shop Manchester Arndale Bloggers Event

I've been blogging for almost two years now but I'd still consider myself a newbie in the blogging world. On Thursday I had the chance to go to my first bloggers event at The Body Shop in Manchester to celebrate the release of an amazing new range on the 5th of May, including new bronzing items and a couple of vitamin C products! I was wearing my butterfly bow-tie brooch to the event and styled it with a white short sleeved shirt. It was a closed door event, so it was a good opportunity to browse all of the products and explore the new ones thoroughly! The event started at 8pm and I was one of the first ones to arrive. Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide - Starting again

The last time I posted about my workout regime was in November last year when I started the Kayla Itsines BBG healthy eating plan and 12 week workout sessions. I think I got up to week 4 before I lost my motivation because of illness and Christmas. My friend Marianne and I started BBG again on the 5th of January with thousands of other girls and joined #thekaylamovement and #kaylasarmy to share our journey along this painful but exciting path.  You can read my first post about the BBG programme here as I am explaining a bit more on how I 'found' Kayla and how the training works.  I have done BBG for 5 weeks now (the first 2 weeks we did pre-training) and I'm feeling quite positive. I've not seen much progress myself - I still have my weak areas like tummy, bum and thighs. I do feel much stronger though! I'm doing all of the workouts properly, I have strength in my legs and arms - it is quite easy to do 10 push ups and continue with triceps and mountain clim...

OOTD - The sun has come out!

It has been such a long time since my last fashion post, I've been missing them so much! The second the sun came out, Tristan and I went to the canal and took a few pictures. I think it is still too early for sunglasses but a light jacket is okay when you wear a jumper underneath (Primark) and a cosy leopard print scarf (Linea Cashmink) around your neck.  My black Veromoda jacket and shoes are both from Best Secret. You'll all know by now how much I've been raving about it. I think it is an amazing place for online shopping. I love the copper detailing and the simple look on my jacket, plus it's super lightweight. My trainers are by Puma & Alexander McQueen (click here to read my previous post). I also just noticed that I don't have any good shots of my Michael Kors bag, which I absolutely adore by the way!
