FNUG / My Looks

I've been obsessed with FNUG nail polishes lately and have recently added another shade to my collection. My Looks is a beautiful coral shade and it perfectly brightens up my day! It has been a lovely colour to wear this month as we've had so many beautiful warm, sunny days!  What makes FNUG such a good nail polish for me is that even after a couple of days, there are no signs of chips, breakage or dry nails. I usually apply two layers and top it with my Nails inc Westminster Bridge Matte Top Coat, it makes my nails less shiny and leaves them with a subtle coral colour.

FNUG - Hip Newcomer

A couple of weeks ago I wrote a blog post about fashion nail polish brand FNUG and 4 of their shades I purchased online. I have tried out my second nail polish - Hip Newcomer and I am in love with this brand! I think this metallic, creamy and sandy white shade is a perfect neutral tone for everyday casuals, going out in the day or night.  My nail polish has to match my outfit and Hip Newcomer is certainly the easiest colour to play with. It's perfect to wear in any season. I applied two coats and also a clear top coat to make it stronger, longer-lasting and shinier.  The nail polish is chip resistant, which means that it is extremely long-lasting without the risk of breakage. It was about 3 days before I started to see any fading and 5 days before I got the first chips on the tips of my nails. My nails are healthy and strong and FNUG definitely helps to keep them that way.

FNUG - Fashion Show

Last week I did a little nail polish shopping as I discovered that all the colours in my nail polish collection were too summery. I was searching the Internet to find something new, something I have never heard of - and I found something! FNUG is a Scandinavian (Denmark) nail polish brand created by Charlotte Fnug. They create nail varnishes to match the Nordic colour palette and all FNUG polish names are related to fashion. Mine are in Fashion Show, Fake Fur, Hip Newcomer and Long Johns. While talking about names - FNUG means both tiny and snow flake in Danish! They have over 100 amazing shades and I am going to sound crazy but I want them all! These nail polishes are filled with strengthening silica and nourishing protein, also containing vitamins A, D, E and B and a little caviar as well. I couldn't resist trying them out and thought I would start with Fashion Show . On first application I noticed the light and quickly drying formula. I applied two layers and it...

Birchbox UK April 2014

Birchbox time! This month's theme is inspired by local food markets, the kitchen and all of our favourite eateries. These samples feature delicious scents and foodie elements.  I was waiting for this month's box with huge excitement and when it arrived I was equally happy and disappointed. I was looking forward to discover the TommyGuns Pomegranate shampoo in the April box but unluckily I don't think my profile met the criteria. Anyway, I am glad at least to have been given the option to choose a nail polish colour that I liked most (out of the 4 Birchbox was offering this month). I chose a beautiful pearly green colour and couldn't wait to try it on my nails. Campos De Ibiza Almendra Body Milk - Mine is a sample size 38ml. RRP £16.55. I get never tired of a box when there is a body milk inside. I love to try different moisturisers. Luckily my skin is not very sensitive (except for my face) and I can use different brands and different lotions, body milks,...

First post: nail polish

I have been blogging on Tumblr since June 2013 and now after 8 months I feel I need a little change. I thought I'd move my Tumblr here to Blogger with a new title. I am very excited, but I know it's going to take a while to get used to how things work here. I will still keep my old blog, so if anyone is interested they can still visit. Last week I got my February Glossybox and promised to review my new Ciate London nail polish. It is a full size bottle (13.5 ml, RRP £9) Colour: Play Date.  I am very happy with this nail polish, especially the beautiful red colour. The cute little bottle with a black bow makes it even more irresistible. This nail polish is very easy to apply and dries quickly. I'd only applied one coat and for me I thought it was enough. It is a bit thick but the colour darkens on nails. I prefer to apply several thin layers of polish than one thick one usually. It is a nice decent size bottle, but I don't think I would ever buy a £9 bottle of ...
