Photo Blogging Challenge // Holidays

The last theme in the Photo Blogging Challenge for 2015 was Holidays . I got very excited to take pictures, as it is one of my favourite times of the year and it was such an easy theme to follow. I went for a walk with my camera a couple of times and took some Christmasy shots around Manchester. It made me quite inspired again - I would love to take more photos outside! Snowflake bauble Christmas decorations Christmas Markets    How cute are these ''Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer'' slippers? It's not Christmas without hot chocolate

Photo Blogging Challenge // Morning

The Photo Blogging Challenge theme this month was 'Morning'. Even though I am not really a morning person, I still used my camera a lot! Here are my five pictures:  This is what my morning looks like - waiting for a tram in the rain. It's wet and windy but I love the blue morning sky! Autumn leaves Breakfast is the best part of my day! We put up our Christmas Tree yesterday morning and it looks absolutely beautiful. PS. I fixed that bauble near the top!

Photo Blogging Challenge: Happy

I didn't take part in the Photo Blogging Challenge in August which had the theme 'Rule of Thirds' as I didn't quite understand the concept. I've decided that I will push myself a bit more next time, as otherwise there's no challenge! September's theme though was 'Happy' . In September, Tristan and I visited Estonia. He booked a stay in a 5 star hotel for my birthday - I couldn't resist taking a mirror selfie .   I love when they put little flowers on your plate at restaurants.   My Dad got me my favourite flowers for my birthday. Yellow is my favourite colour.  Marianne took me out in Manchester to have my first ever British afternoon tea . This guy here makes me the happiest girl in the world!

Photo Blogging Challenge: Patriotic

I quit my job this month and am starting a new one next week. Even though I've had a week off work, I haven't had the chance to go out as much as I'd have liked. I thought that the ''Patriotic'' theme would be quite easy to photograph but for some reason I just couldn't get many theme-related pictures. Anyway, here are my 5 pictures for the Photo Blogging Challenge this month: Beetroot-cheese-garlic salad As an Estonian living in England, I get homesick once in a while and I've found that the best way to heal it is with food. Beetroot salad is a typical Estonian celebration food . My mum used to always make this salad for birthdays/at Christmas, so when I get a bit nostalgic I like to have it.   Fish and chips We celebrated Tristan's birthday down south in a little seaside town called Lyme Regis. The same evening we arrived, I had a massive craving for a traditional English food - fish and chips. When I first moved here I didn't re...

Photo Blogging Challenge: Anything Goes

This month has been photography-quiet for me so I am really happy with the theme 'Anything Goes', as all of my pictures were taken the same day. My friend organised a barbecque on Sunday afternoon at her place. It was nice to see old friends and spend some quality time outside. We grilled some meat and burgers, people baked cakes, brought snacks and the weather was just lovely! A couple of cats also paid a visit and one in particular got the most attention. Some snacks Liam and Marianne (The Hostess) The cat smelled BBQ... ...and got a piece of BBQ Seb gave him some love too I am looking forward to next month. It's probably going to be much busier, so hopefully I'll have the opportunity to get my camera out more.

Photo Blogging Challenge: Spring

The Photo Blogging Challenge theme this month was Spring. May has been such a great month for me, not only because the days are longer, the sun is out or flowers are blooming but because I've been really productive and have also managed to get all 5 pictures done! The two first pictures were taken in Manchester and the last three on our holiday in Rome, Italy. There is no Spring without pink flowers... . ..or any flowers really!   Spring in Rome feels more like Summer . Mr. Seagull watching over his city! Did you know that Gelato means ''frozen'' in Italian?!

Photo Blogging Challenge: Friends and Family

This is my fourth month taking part in the Photo Blogging Challenge and 'Friends & Family' is my favourite theme so far! I moved to England 5 years ago, I was 21 and left my family and friends in Estonia. It has been the hardest thing in my life but I also met so many interesting people, made new friends and found the love of my life! Tristan and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary this month. For the past 2 years he has been taking me out to fancy restaurants but we decided to do something different this year and have a quiet night in. We cooked Chicken Katsu Curry for dinner and just enjoyed each others company. This is happy us. We had a day out in Manchester and I tried to take a 'walking-selfie' but my friend Marianne photobombed it. It was funny, though! Tristan has been spoiling me every Sunday with American-style pancakes. It has became our tradition. I am very close to my mum and dad. Even though my family live back in Estonia, we...

Photo Blogging Challenge: Two

I am taking part in a Photo Blogging Challenge created by PJ at A'lil Hoohaa . As the Photo Blogging Challenge turns two in March, the theme this time is Two . Swans...   Tristan and I live next to a canal and we are totally aware of who lives there. Every morning I hear goose 'honks' and duck 'quacks' before going to work. They are so noisy! Swans are quiet and most of the time just peacefully swim around.  ...and the intruder.  If there's another waterbird coming close they softly hiss or make weird snoring sounds. Clearly this doesn't help, so the chasing starts. I've never seen swans doing this before so it was actually quite funny to watch. Dinner for two. This is a lamb curry with rice and naan bread. Milk is amazing with spicy food, it helps to relieve the burning feeling. Rainbows Tristan spins fire with others in Manchester and invited me along. These girls stood out with their colourful LED hula hoops. I got so...

Photo Blogging Challenge: Winter

I am taking part in a Photo Blogging Challenge created by PJ at A'lil Hoohaa . This months theme was 'Winter', so I will get straight to the point and share my pictures.  Winter sun . Nothing beats the Manchester sky on the sunny day, especially when it's winter. I love to take pictures of the sun - every single detail comes out and these trees are just so sharp and beautiful. Snowdrops. Where else could you find snowdrops in February but Manchester!?     C vitamin. For me winter is all about cozy slippers, warm clothes and lemon water.  Wrapped up. I don't think it has been under -5 degrees this month but it has still been freezing cold! I hate cold and a strong wind always makes it worse, so I am properly protected by my big hood and a scarf around my neck. Manchester has been absolutely snow free this month but I don't think it's only the snow which makes it 'winter'. For me, it's eating cheesecake, drinking t...
